Headlight problem has me stumped

Ive got an 82 Toyota pickup that was used as an old river truck. It had no tali lights when I got it. I installed a set of LED (cheap chinese ones) all in one tail lights, now I have no headlights. They worked before the tail light install. I've checked the relays and they are coming on but there is no power to the headlights harness. I vaguely remember something about older vehicles needing to add resistance to the circuit, but I can't find any info on what I'm experiencing. Any suggestions?

The headlights are 12v- switched,and not 12v+ like other vehicles. Check your grounds.

Update. Got it fixed today. Turns out the headlight relay was not coming on as there was no power to it. the harness is fuckered beyond belief, so finding the blown fusible link was a no go. I ended up running a new power feed to the relay and viola! headlights.
