Can anyone point me in the direction of a bearing and seal supplier that can help me with this? Clearly I have all the numbers, but since the last good parts guy around here tipped over dead last week, my local Napa is no damn help. It shouldn't be that hard. If I had a paper catalog in front of me I could probably find what I need relatively easy.

The cone says Bower 3360
Cup says Bower 3320
National seal 204026X lip seal
National seal again 205026 felt dust wiper

Specs are ish

Cone ID 1.370,
WIDTH 1.520 ( It has the large shoulder that is the seal surface

Cup OD 3.135 ish X .940 WD
(had to torch it out of the bore as gently as I could)

Project is an unknown make (maybe Allis Chalmers) hydraulic disc.
Of course I'm farming so I'm in a goddamn rush. The weeds are growing fast and I need to kill them before they ahold.

I just need a good parts guy. If you are one, hit me up. I'll pay a premium for somebody who knows their stuff.

Thanks in advance.

No bearing shops in your area?
Oh hell no. I'm further out in the boonies than you are
Saw that link also. No measurements listed so I'm not gonna buy.

Call these guys up and ask for RB. That old dude can find fawking anything. Adam is good but RB has 30 years experience on him.

Thank you

Google bearing supply. Every time I've ever needed one I can find them by inputting the bearing dimensions.

Unless it's Polaris. Fuckers like to make proprietary bearings that are 3mm wider than industry standard. Then they charge $35 for a bearing that exists in either 1mm larger od or 3mm narrower for $9. :mad3:

SKF should be able to cross reference it.

That doesn't really help you at Napa if they couldn't cross reference them before, but.....

Those should be your bearings.

Give me the shaft O.D., the hub I.D. and the seal thickness and I should be able to find you a seal.

Also, where does this go on the disc? Wheel bearing, disc gang bearing housing, kneutson valve manifold hinge???

My local supply house has stock on the bearings, they do business through ebay too though I've never bought anything from them in that way.

I do know they will bend over backward for sales and I'm sure they would overnight you parts.

Get me the seal dimensions and I'll get those quoted if the have them.

Thanks for the links. I found those same ones on Amazon this morning and ordered them up. I think i got the seal crossed to a number that Orielly had available. It will be 10 days or so until everything shows up. Fingers crossed its the right stuff.

This is one of teh disc gangs where these bearings go.

Thanks Squatch! I'll hit these guys up if the Amazon stuff is wrong. I wonder if all these parts are new old stock. I call Bower direct and gave them their part numbers and they had nothing. The seal is the same OD as the 3320 race, and the shaft size is 2.300 just fyi. I came up with a Precision 204035 as the closest sizing.

I'll update this thread when everything shows up, good or bad.

Thanks everybody!

Ok IBB Google experts. Here is your next challenge. Find me this nut. It's a 3.5"-11.5 TPI LH thread.

I did find a tag on this piece of equipment. The company who built it is long gone though.

The nut doesn't have to be exactly as pictured. I'm sure I can cut some washers or whatever to make it work. This is the nut that keeps the discs and spools all held together on the outer tube.

I have four of these gangs that are going to need rebuilt sooner than later. I feel like I am pissing up a rope, but I'm trying to work with what I've got.

Mostly I think I'm just pissing up a rope.

You will have sealed your fate if you cant find your bearings..

I'm going to bet it's an N or AN18 thread. Bearing shop or industrial supply place may be able to source a left hand thread one.

Are you 100% sure on the size? 3.5x11.5 sounds like you meant 3.527x12
