Buddy of mine bought a H1 that had armour and a troop back, all of that is gone and it’s a 2 door soft top pickup now.

The rear springs are hard as a rock since it was made to haul a ton of weight. Any suggestions that aren’t 1200 for a set of softer ride ones? This is a street truck for him. Moog 81085 came up but not sure.

Might try mil equip places like memphis equip. Andsee if they have some off a stripped/base carrier one.

Not that it will be cheaper but civilain ones might be lighter as well.

Get one out and see if there is anything that makes it special. Pig tails/flat/ raw ends that you coould match to a modern pickup.

With how long the control arms are, the coils are massively stiff. Even a 1t diesel coil would just collapse.

If you Google H1 coils, there is tons and tons available for cheap. You just have to do all the research to figure out what numbers mean what.

All he has to do is find the right part numbers, buy the base/softest spring, then sell his for more money. Or even find someone to trade with. The military vehicle Facebook groups are pretty active and there are a couple forums as well.

Someone will absolutely want his stiffer springs over the softer base springs.
