Gun Wall?

Slatwall would have been way cheaper.

Since you posted this, what are the specs on that single shot with the blond stock?

Ended up buying a couple more panels and the bulk accessory kit last week and hung everything a couple nights ago. I don't think you can beat it for the price vs slatwall unless you're taking the time to cut everything yourself. Between 3 panels and the accessories I've bought I'm out less than $200 and maybe an hour of time.

Only thing that wasn't worth it was the accessory bundle. Comes with a lot of useless stuff that's meant for tool storage vs hanging gun stuff.

Got started on my gun/safe room in the basement this week. Used gunpegboard.com to hang the guns on the wall. The panels aren't that big, and I have a couple more on the way, plus some more hooks. I picked up my steel door yesterday. I have fancy unpickable locks, handles, plus a 1200lb mag lock with keypad on the outside, and push button switch to unlock from the inside. Door handle has "storeroom function" so it can always be opened from the inside.
m18 circular saw and I'm in there in 2 minutes from the floor above, then I just open the door and walk out.

consider some sort of barrier on the ceiling, or some sort of alarm system in the space to alert you to someone in there.

Ive already thought about that for sure. I want to make the ceiling as fire proof as possible, and that will probably included a metal drop ceiling.

Clark Dietrich makes the nice little clips to hold expanded metal to a stud.

The room is the gun rack. I need a hidey hole from the fast swirly wind, might as well secure valuables in it too.

I seriously considered buying a vault door for our safe room, but I didn't want to be stuck trying to get the combination right as a tornado was approaching, so I just put a safe inside the safe room.

These guys are kind of local to me and they look like doors.

I just didn't want to be worrying about locks on the door if I needed to get in there with limited warning.

Commercial steel security door and just leave it unlocked when you're home.

That's what I plan on doing in a few years when I build a house. Just overbuild the closet, metal security door, maybe magseal. Will cost me less than a decent safe and it's less hassle. Only drawback is it's less secure in a house fire. Everything I have is replaceable though. If I get shit that isn't I can always put a safe for that purpose on there later.

yes, that's what we did. Sorry, I meant that in the context of, this is why we didn't build a room with a gun wall. I still wanted a safe for guns.

What happens with the maglock when the power is out?

it shuts off.
strikes are the better option for failing secure.
but maybe he wants it to be open afer the power fails since it's his tornado shelter.

PAC aluminum tool board with Pac tool mounts would be cool. I use PAC tool mounts under some of my table surfaces for tools, and on occasion, for the hidden AR. I haven't set anything up at this house yet. and the aluminum tool board I never got a hold of one. Tool Storage, Mounting Kits, Universal Hangers | Performance Advantage Company Nice products. My work I had a great discount for since we were a vendor, and I got cost with tax.

It unlocks. Which is why it won't be the only lock I have. My main breaker panel is inside the room, so even killing the power to it will require someone being in there.

I use these one for the ones I keep out, but I kinda like the gunpegboard ones above.

You'll have to come help me decorate when I build my room this summer:lmao:

It'd be a lot more impressive if that was a musket and portraits instead of lever gun and pictures. :flipoff2:
