Made the first draw on the building loan this week. New shop/apartment is on the way. Need to finalize some design choices before long. Safe room is going to have at least one wall for arms storage.

Anyone using any of the gun wall organization/display panels? YouTubers seem to be shilling for Gallow, Lock Down, and a handful of others.

Even with as big of a fan of Julia Child as I am, I don't want pegboard. I like the looks of the SecureIt panels but seems pretty expensive for what they are. Tactical Walls looks like a French cleat, I'd probably do my own French cleat wall before spending money on those.

There's plenty of retail store display and storage racking all over Facebook Marketplace and Craigslist for cheap. I think it'd be pretty easy to make any of that work.

Anyone have any experience or even anecdotal reason of any particular style/brand to avoid?

Super powered electro magnets, individual coils on individual biometric/ voice recognition/ facial/ starfish recognition for individual guns and ultimate theft prevention. Put that shit in the front yard with a wd40 sprinkler, nobody can steal it unless they have an identical starfish

I use slat wall in both my reloading room and gun closet. Way cheaper than a purpose built display wall. They have a lot of different style hooks and shelves that can be moved and configured however you like.
It is sold in 4'x8' sheets an can go over sheetrock, or in place of it. Can be had in multiple finishes.

I've got some stuff from them. Good quality, made in the US, lifetime warranty and it's not expensive. It's also not really pegboard.

Another vote for the Gun Pegboard. I was gifted some Wall Control for tools but found the sister site Gun Pegboard and bought some gun hooks and used it for that instead.
I didn't know about the scratch and dent site.

Well, thanks, I just dropped a grand on this stuff.

I use the wallcontrol pegboard. Order scratch and dent from Cheap Pegboard | Used Peg Board | Discount Pegboard | Overstocked Pegboard

These work pretty well for gun stuff - 2 Pack of Scratch & Dent 3in Reach U-Shaped Wall Control Slotted Pegboard Hook
Plus some regular hooks. Toss a shelf every so often.

Gun room should look good.

They make aluminum extrusion that's compatible with peg board shit. If you want peg board hooks without peg board look that's your best bet.

Thought this was going to be about Brandon Herrera's video from yesterday lol

I had that on in the back ground the other day, but have been thinking about this for a LONG time before I even new that kid existed.

I like an old school gun rack for a few items next to the door. No desire to have everything hanging on the wall though

The room is the gun rack. I need a hidey hole from the fast swirly wind, might as well secure valuables in it too.

I've got an ED-209 patrolling the property already. Thankfully no stairs to worry about.

Thanks! I'll keep an eye on this. I can always break out the Rust-Oleum, but the scratch & dent stuff they have in stock right now isn't appealing.

I came across this on Google and liked the price point.

Slatwall would have been way cheaper.

Before coming across that Gun Pegboard website I would have agreed with you. I was thinking I'd do some DIY French cleat, but I'm not even considering that anymore.

Was planning on French cleats as well till I found that site. Honestly thought it was a scam because the prices are so reasonable.

Actually about to place another order with them. Did a small one the first time just in case the quality sucked but I'm happy with what I got.

I've bought 3-4 ordered from them. The scratch and dent issues are very small, plus I get the silver/galv finish so its not ovbious. For the issues I've gotten I wouldnt return the panels if I bought them new at the store and they had the same imprefections

As a bonus their warehouse is in Atlanta, so I get stuff in a couple days from them.

I use these one for the ones I keep out, but I kinda like the gunpegboard ones above.

Amazon's wall control system is what I have used in my shop...Cheap and you can easily make your own mounts or have someone laser cut them for you. It's what I was using for those evil bad firearms that fell in the lake when my canoe tipped over.

Not everyone has an abundance of closet space either.

My apartment has two tiny closets and no other storage space. I went with wall storage because it was that our just having shit stuffed in drawers or laying around.

Mine live all over. By the door, but the toilet, by the bed, random shelves, etc.. stack them up like firewood "huh, was wondering where that one was"

See above about lack of storage. I'm tripping over shit enough as it is without having guns all over the place.

Would love to move somewhere bigger/not in the ghetto but anywhere I move will double the rent and I'm trying to save up for land to build on in a few years. Can't move further out to save money without ending up 2 hours or more away and even then it would be negligible.

Got started on my gun/safe room in the basement this week. Used gunpegboard.com to hang the guns on the wall. The panels aren't that big, and I have a couple more on the way, plus some more hooks. I picked up my steel door yesterday. I have fancy unpickable locks, handles, plus a 1200lb mag lock with keypad on the outside, and push button switch to unlock from the inside. Door handle has "storeroom function" so it can always be opened from the inside.
