gun shots at trump rally

And by moving away you mean we're down to like 95% .556 in the hands of infantry vs 100%? Probably more like 98%.
Dude if you want to argue about shit that don't matter, go find someone else.

I gave my opinion that the 5.56 is not the best choice for that. If you don't like it, I don't really care. Go ahead and don't like it.

U.S. — According to sources, the United States Secret Service plans to beef up Trump's security team with a squad of blind midgets.
"I have personally vetted these seeing-impaired persons of limited stature and certify them ready for deployment," Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle said in a statement.
Republican leadership questioned the effectiveness of these new agents but the agency dismissed their concerns as bigoted. "They asked why they were so short and also why they kept bumping into things, and that's just not acceptable," Director Cheatle said. "They are as devoted to their duty as they are physically handicapped."
"I can think of no one better to protect President Trump than this loveable group of misfits. We call the smallest one Pepper."
The Department of Homeland Security, which oversees the Secret Service, confirmed the recruitment. Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas called them "adorable" and "real go-getters."
"These agents are as tough as any 7' tall man. Tougher even," Secretary Mayorkas said. "They still have to pass the same tests as a normal agent, albeit with the benefit of a handicap in their favor. We don't make them hop over walls or climb stairs, for example. That would just be mean."
Despite concerns from the right, Trump isn't worried. "I am proud to be protected by these little tiny people, not that I need any protection, by the way," he said to cheers. "These cute little Secret Service are very adorable and fantastic Americans. And they wouldn't have jobs if it weren't for me."
At publishing time, Biden had requested a dozen more highly qualified, full-grown men be added to his own security detail to shield him from the cameras next time he falls.

It was clearly a setup from this current administration in an attempt at assassinating Trump imo. Hands down no doubt

This is such bs and people need to be held accountable for this nonsense. WTF are we’re paying for ss to not do their job? It’s on purpose and by design, has to be.

Case in point below excuses. :shaking:

U.S. — Trump's newly announced running mate JD Vance prepared to campaign with the former President today by donning a Kevlar helmet and body armor.
"I'm honored to have been picked to run alongside Donald Trump as a candidate for Vice President," said the young Senator from Ohio as he tightened the straps on his ballistic vest. "I will do everything in my power to survive until November 5th."
Vance then dove for cover as several bullets whizzed overhead.
Sources within the Republican Party expressed general approval of Trump's pick and expressed their wishes for Vance to avoid being shot, stabbed, run over, or blown up by a radical Leftist between now and the election. "As long as he keeps his head on a swivel and wears that body armor, he should be ok," said RNC Chair Michael Whatley.
RNC Chair Whatley then rolled out of the way of several deadly blow darts that had just been shot from a passing Subaru.
Biden also responded, saying, "We have to paint a target on Vance. Also Trump. That's two targets. And I'm not saying someone should kill them because I denounce all political violence. But they should be eliminated. Or they should somehow die. But I'm not calling for violence because, uh... erm... well, anyway."
At publishing time, Vance had taken an additional step to protect himself by purchasing a Cybertruck

I have a couple ARC rifles and the round has great ballistics, but hopefully if the .mil widely integrates the ARC into their inventory, someone will come up with a more reliable bolt. The lugs are attached to super thin walls, so I carry a spare in my pack.

The sloped roof comments really take the cake. Besides the picture with Trump, blood on his face fist in the air, the second most common image from Saturday is of the SS snipers in the background beyond Trump, on a sloped roof. From day 1 this regime has reveled in treating Americans like they're stupid, and many are, but I think they've pushed the envelope too far this time. Even some really dumb people are starting to see thing aren't adding up.

I went all in on 6.5G and when the ARC came out, decided I'd stick with the 6.5G. I'm on my second bolt.

the SS director woman said they purposely didnt have that covered because the pitch was too steep for anyone to shoot from. but it wasnt as steep as their counter snipers were shooting from. ?? stupidity.

Don’t know what’s worse blatantly lying when everyone knows you’re wrong or ole joe tato when asked about having spoken to the secret service director saying he had spoken to him. No wonder things are fucked you’ve got the handicapped leading the blind.

When they were a force to be reckoned with,
The South African Military migrated all infantry from 7.62 to 5.56
Reasons mostly cost but also the increased wounding and morale effect on the enemy. Smooth or semi smooth bore results in tumbling

The snipers and special forces kept the good stuff. The fly boys could choose. FN mostly or 303 or Russian.

FNs would often require multiple shots as they blew right through. The 5.56’s could tumble from a twig but most often resulted in not instant death, a nice psyop byproduct

But most of the serious operators carried captured (and modified) Russian stuff. 7.62x39 was easy to find as you could take it off the dead guys

Us Flyboys carried either R5’s a folding stock R4/Galil in 5.56 or my preferred choice a Russian or East German AK.

The long shooting special forces guys would use Moisin-G’s but I think a lot of that was subterfuge as much as weapons presence. Some of these guys lived just off a garbage dump from the main base in southern Angola while calling in artillery and air strikes.

Each to his own but stick those baby calibers up your ass. You probably own a small dog or worse a cat

I saw the Cheatle comment about slopes this AM. The first thought, the first words said silently were " Stupid Fucking kawnt".

Side show. :flipoff2: How many fed are going to get fired, let go, in sum across all the agencies when Trump is done ? DOJ, FBI, SS, and so forth. When can we stomp on Liz Cheney ?

I have no idea what you're talking about but it sounds cool so  to you I guess?

Are you saying they're not moving to the 6.8?
The Army is outfitting their CQB teams with the XM7 chambered in 6.8. It is NOT replacing the M4. It lacks the capacity to reach out and touch someone. Additionally, the standard loadout is heavier than the M4, and you get less ammunition in the loadout. They were trying to "do everything with one round" and found out the 6.8X51 can't do that.

In the Navy we still use M16A4 for general watch standing and M4 for our CQB teams, and M14 for most everything when we are at sea.

My ship just got the new Sig M18s (9mm). I like to shoot it more than the M9 but wonder about its durability over time. You can use the M9 as a hammer and it still won't quit.

I put together an M1A in a Sage International chassis when the Navy had a similar setup with the M14. Are they still in service?
