$0.97/lb. drumsticks, canned hominy and spices. It can't be much more than a dollar a plate.

I tired this dry rub for drum sticks and do them quite regular now:

Usually throw foil pouch potatoes on the grill with 'em:

Two packs of Top Ramen (ditch the second spice pack), two soft/medium boiled eggs sliced in half or pennied, a sliced jalapeno, srichacha or other chili garlic sauce. Make your own faux Pho bowl.

shrimp and grits with crisped/crumbled bacon and tabasco

Can of chunky soup poured on rice. Makes a couple days of meals for maybe $3

That's about the fanciest food i make.
Nate,

Serious question for you.

Is this a character you are playing here on this board?

None of what you post makes any sense at all.

You work 160+ hours a week

You live in a shitty shanty type of place.

You cannot afford to move heavy objects down the public highways safely.

You eat the crappiest food around that I would barely feed my dog.

Where does your money go?

Why are you doing all this?

Chicken livers , gizzards and hearts . Cabbage and polish sausage
shepherds pie

Chicken rice a roni, chunks of the precooked chicken breast, or boneless/skinless cooked while simmering the rice, small can of peas and or corn.

Rice, can of black beans, and a goya packet. Top with shredded cheese and red pepper flakes. If you are so inclined add cooked chicken or canned venison.

Here is my contribution, not something for daily consumption as it is calorie heavy:

Boil noodles of your choice (spaghetti/rice noodles is what I use)

In a glass/ceramic bowl I make Thai peanut sauce:

1/4 cup peanut butter
2 tablespoons of soy sauce
2 tablespoons water
1 1/2 teaspoon sriracha sauce
1 teaspoon rice vinegar
1 teaspoon sugar

Mix it well, add more water for creamier texture. I also like to add extra sriracha for more kick

If you have some peanuts in the pantry, take a small handful - wrap in paper towel and crush with whatever you got handy

Drain pasta, add to the peanut sauce bowl, garnish with crushed peanuts. Mix it all well and enjoy...

(Most of us have these ingredients around the kitchen/pantry. Easy peasy - under 15 min.)

Not willing to put much time, effort, or money into cooking....been on a nacho kick lately

Try them made with Cheez its, seriously.

shrimp and grits with crisped/crumbled bacon and tabasco

Some version of that happens in my house at least twice a week.

One of my favorite meals by far is about as simple as it gets. Dump a can of corn into a pan. Dice up 3-4 strips of bacon an toss them in after a while.

its done when the bacon starts to get a lil crispy.

White rice
Cream of mushroom soup
Broccoli
Shredded cheddar and bits of cream cheese
Chicken bits, thighs, breasts, hell even canned bits

Cook rice set aside
Cook chicken bits in pan, don’t drain the juices.
Combine the rest of the ingredients into oven safe bowl with the chicken bits and juices
Bake at like 400 for a little while.

Put cheesy chicken broccoli soup stuff over rice. Salt and pepper to taste. I like it with Cajun seasoning.

Make this in the winter, chicken and broccoli casserole, mix in cheddar cheese.

Easy, cheap, good is most things souis vide related. Make great food easily and you don’t have to babysit it.

Can of Hormel chili dumped into a pot of pre made Velveeta shells and cheese.

2lbs of ground beef browned in a skillet, dump in 2cups of dry elbow Mac, 2 cans of stewed tomato's, a diced onion and a diced green pepper, a can of condensed tomato soup. Fucking good.

Chicken thighs, a few pounds of diced red potatoes, toss all that with lemon juice and some oil and throw that on a cookie sheet and bake in an oven until done.

Roast a chicken, eat, save the carcass and make chicken soup out of it.

4 lbs of rice
1 pack frozen peas and carrots
1 chicken breast cut into small pieces of your choosing and cooked with stir fry sauce.
2 eggs.

Cook rice in rice cooker.
‘Cool’ frozen vegetables in a big pot, move them to one side and scramble the two eggs in the same pot.
Cook chicken. I do it on low so it doesn’t burn the sauce to the pan.
Add rice and chicken to vegetables (hence the big pot)
Mix everything a lot.

Other than Buffalo wings I bet the cheapest thing I make is meat and bean chili. I can’t/don’t eat pasta or bread. Meat is expensive, fresh vegetables are expensive. Really puts a damper on cheap living.
