I'm planning out a build, looking for a "Go-Fast" style crawler. I have some thoughts and ideas, but looking for some build threads to answer some more remedial questions like trailing arm shock position, where some build threads may dig in to those answers without a million stupid questions on my part. Not exactly Ultra4 spec everything, I know there are some really big carry over technicals there, but I'm not limiting to just race spec cars.

And go fast builds are awesome.

Where's your build thread so I can copy your homework?

Ttb seems to be the answer, there's a ttb tips thread in "ford"

There's also TTMotorsports 4wd pre runner build which I don't keep up with because it just makes me jealous:smokin:

IDK how go fast ish you want it, but I'll plug mine in:

Top speed so far has been 82mph on dirt and over 120 on the dyno (yes, with the 43SXs :smokin:)

I do not like to spend 3 years going over every single obstacle so the rev limiter sees plenty of use and I'll do my best to link every obstacle as fast as necessary so I don't get bored.

If you have technical questions, just ask.

Here is an old list to get you going. As you cruise through the builds you will also see who the comment-ers are. This was back in the learning stages when speeds were 80 mph and relatively little has changed in the big scheme of things unless you want to spend major $$ to add a little comfort in going fast. Straight axle cars are quite capable of going fast and will save a ton of $$ and build time. Plus there are more fabricators and blogers that can help with the little details. All fast are double triangle rear. And most likely double triangle front wit hydro.

IFS, Portals, active shocks, 950hp, and do-dahs will probabaly take you faster than you will want to go and add $2-300k to your tab. IT IS fun to dream though.......

If you buy an older rig. At least you have something solid to improve upon. And to get familiar with what counts for you.

UPDATED 7/18/2016: THIS LIST IS NOT PHONE FRIENDLY....Suggest printing landscape.

New builds and re-builds are in the works for KOH 2017. But the list seems to be growing with other Rigs and build threads.

Thanks for the updates. Others? Corrections? Comment or PM updates. Builders, MFG's don't be shy. I can post.

Other building blocks. Spidertrax, Currie, Howe, PSC, Reid, RCV, GKN, Pro-Am/Kartek, Raceline, Method, Tires, etc.,etc.

It takes more than just IFS to make a good car. A driver, crew, and most are continually being upgraded.

Good History and build * links Might as well do this too...if easy...Help Appreciated..PM

As common sense as it seems...To buy an older rig to get used to it and improve. There have been several sold lately that have only lasted minutes to days before they were majorly crashed. These older rigs DO go faster than you may want or capable of. You look out in these rigs...Not down. Even the owners/OP's have learned about pre-running FIRST!
