sweet rig man! The fordyce pics make me miss that place. Only wheeled it a few times but man I absolutely love it out there. Nice work
Thanks. First time to fordyce and hopefully we can add it to a yearly thing we do. It was fun but with the big group made for a long day.

Few more from trail hero. Also picked up a new transmission and adapter. Plan is to ditch the crawl box and add a trail tough rear disconnect.

Thanks man. Going from a 2wd prerunner a340 with the inchworm prerunner adapter (huge and leaks) to the a340h 4wd trans. Let’s me use a shorter adapter and hopefully stops the trans from leaking into the tcase.

Lately it’s been one step forward and then 100 back. Had the lower shock mount bolts oriented the wrong way so bad to remake them. The steering arm got into the bypass so had to redo the uppers and angle them back 10 degrees. Bypass still kisses the panhard mount so will angle that in tomorrow. Slowly but surely getting there. Using all of the travel the shocks has though. Atleast on the bypass. Cause of the angles, coilover is the bump at articulation and bypass fully extended the down travel.
need to finish the lower shocks mounts and clearance the upper shock mounts to get more angle out of them and then it’s onto the engine cage.

some more pictures

Now that you have been using your truck, how are your bump-stops staying put? I was told that the pinch-style cans won't hold a bump-stop without a collar, but I have no experience with that and it looks like you will!

the bump body has a machined lip on it.

Day trip to sand hollow yesterday. Truck and jeepster ran good. Had the rear leaf spring “s” and cause the tire to hit the fender so may be time for some new main leaves. Also blew a tire on the trailer. No big deal

screw the leaves, just link it
If the leaves didn’t work so well now with the deaver pack and bypasses, I probably would. I don’t see any benefits at the moment for it haha. Plus I just want to use it right now

Went to the hammers/Johnson valley over thanksgiving weekend. Wheeled with some cool guys (including a few from here) and had fun. Group had some issues but still managed to run resolution, sunbonnet, up wrecking ball and bender alley and down jack north along with turkey. Was way different style of wheeling but had fun and came out with no broken parts or body damage.

Put about another 1000 miles on the ram with no issue between seeing my parents in Utah for thanksgiving and then to hammers and back. Plus 2 nights in the rooftop tent I have used I a while.

Nice to meet you. I had a great time. I would have liked to hit some more trails with you, but my Pops was exhausted.

I have to say, your truck is probably the nicest Toyota I have ever wheeled with.

See you up in Sand Hollow next time.

Thanks man! And thanks for the good spotting and good time. One day I’ll get to wheel with your hummer.

And thanks for the kind words. Those narrowed tons on yours where sweet.

Can’t wait.

It’s a cool place that’s for sure. Just did another day trip today and did some lines I’ve never done which was cool

Well my girlfriend says buying tools gives me joy and I’m good at spending money on old junk I don’t need so I’m making these “hub tools” to help pay for more tools and car parts lol. Something I made for myself but ended up getting a ton of interest from people asking me to make more.

I know Toyotas don’t typically have hard to turn hubs but yukon hubs are notorious for being hard.

They are made from 1 3/4 6061 Aluminum bar stock. They’re roughly 3 inches tall with 2 inches of knurling and a slot big enough to go into the locking hubs and turn.

If anyone else runs hubs and they’re hard to turn and needs one let me know. Or if your Toyota hubs are hard to turn or get frozen in the winter etc, shoot me the measurements and I can make some for Toyota hubs.

Otherwise just a cool project I’m having fun making and practicing on.

These showed up at the door today. Parents got me seats for Christmas and my birthday and I think they came out great! Plan is to cage the truck over the summer and put these in.

Picked up something yesterday.

It’s a 96. Had a 3.4 in it but guy pulled it. Still has the 2wd trans. Plan is to use this cab to build a cage then swap it on the crawler. From there I’ll either part it out or build a street truck to cruise around in.

And then got the interior stripped and hoping to get the cab off this week

More sand hollow action. Weather held out for a good day. Actually took an hour or so and messed with the shocks. They’re starting to feel pretty good but I need a second opinion to further fine tune them.

Prp initially mailed the wrong seats but they fixed it and rushed the correct ones and gave me postage to mail the other back so those came in after Christmas. And got the yard ornament moved around and ready for some tube. Also ordered a notcher and been looking at cages for ideas to help get this going.

Another 4 days at sand hollow for winter 4x4 jamboree. Few issues but nothing major. Inverted a rear shackle backing up into a rock and bent one of the main leafs on the 63s so need to replace that. And then my switch panel that controls my compressor and air lockers burnt up. Turns out that was my issue all along with them not locking/unlocking was a bad switch panel. We had an extra and swapped it out and wheeled some good trails.

front fenders still need cut. They still rub the tire when flexed and turned so I’ll finally chop them straight as well
