checks the calender, yep its tuesday

what ratio of a gmt-800 chassis with a 5.3 and 37s? DD/family adventure shuttle. largest rocks it will see is the rubicon, mainly running around the dezerts and local mountains.

im getting mixed results for my circle.

Whatever the lowest option is for those shit axles.

I prefer 4.10s in a stock truck, the 3.23 & 3.42s are a joke. 3.73s is barely acceptable.

There is no harm in letting the 5.3 sing, you threw mpg out the window with 37s, so go for performance now.

4.88 would put you back to 'stock'. Considering added weight and aerodynamics, my choice would be 5.38s.

4.10 is a waste of time.

I have 4.88's with a 5.3 and 35's. For what the truck gets used for, it's perfect. DD, light off road.

Id want it lower though for more serious offroad. I'd go 5.13 or 5.38.

5.38. I’m assuming you are using a 4l60, and that is going to need all the help it can get to live. I’d lean towards over gearing a 4l80 too, because I’ve never thought 1st was low enough in them, but 4.88 would make more sense for most people

yea currently a 4l60, when it blows up a 4l80 will be heavily considered.

i am not afraid of the motor spinning on the highway if i get a little more grunt out the hole.

5.13 is what i would recomend. Im on 37s with 4.88 and wish i would have went with 5.13. 5.38 if those arent an option.

If you swap it to a 4l80, first gear is higher than the one from a 4l60.
Given this consideration I'd definitely add to the 5.38 band wagon.
