i sure miss the olden days;
the news of the day was at least somewhat impartial and by searching several different channels / news outlets / media formats you could find in depth reports of what happened from a couple of different angles and one could decide how they felt for themselves about an event ( like Kent State / the L.A. riots / Ruby Ridge and the like ) after seeing the footage of the actual event ...
... years, on, many of those events now have a new "meaning" in today's new cycle, as they shifted the truth
... some of it, like the Vietnam era "history was "spun" by the talking heads of the time... but it was mostly obvious at the time (or at least discernible ) to a thinking viewer what was propaganda and what was actual truth, and we at least got some facts to work with to form our own opinions ...
... nowadays, they report mostly on an event in precisely targeted feels that fit their narrative on that particular day, telling us how we should feel about an event , and i'm often left wandering if the event even fucking happened ...
