Pay? It's work experience, you should be paying me, like a trade school. You seem like a nice guy though, so I'll let you do it for free.Hahaha sure, how much you willing to pay?

For me, air compressors take up too much floor space, I'm getting rid of mine and goining with a CO2 tank since I almost never use my air tools anymore. My stuff could be spread out more, but I've crammed it to one end to make room for future machine tools. Use the unique places in the space to your advantage. No dead space etc. I have about 13×30something and this is all packed into 13×13. You can do it.
Edit: I work best in small spaces cause I can find and reach everything.
I'll poney up cash if you want to stop in Illinois. Every spring I pile all my loose stuff in the middle and plan on putting it back perfectly organized. A few beers in and it ends up basically back where it started minus all the garbage I didn't know I had

I lucked out, had a weird closet in the garage that housed the hvac unit... was cramped and oddly shaped with ductwork so it wasn't really useful for anything while having about a 3x5 open spot. It held my big upright compressor perfect, and the walls and back of door got like 3 layers of scrap carpet so you couldn't hear it run inside the house. For me, air compressors take up too much floor space, I'm getting rid of mine and goining with a CO2 tank since I almost never use my air tools anymore.
Yeah the floor space and the noise. My first compressor was one of those $250 Sears oilless POS, and that fucker was so loud that when it would kick on, I'd close the garage door and go inside to have a beer. Now I have a two stage and it's better but still loud. I can't do the outbuilding thing, one wall is front walkway, one wall is the circle drive, one wall is the rollup doors and one wall is common to the house.I lucked out, had a weird closet in the garage that housed the hvac unit... was cramped and oddly shaped with ductwork so it wasn't really useful for anything while having about a 3x5 open spot. Ran hose through the ceiling and back down into reel at the front of the garage.
I'm not having a compressor taking up usable room in a work area. If I still l8ved in town and were using a 2 car for a shop, I'd build a really clean nice looking closet off the back wall of garage. (this may not be possible depending on layout of course)
Mine is the heart of the shop. They'll go up the wall if I ever need them to.For me, air compressors take up too much floor space, I'm getting rid of mine and goining with a CO2 tank since I almost never use my air tools anymore.

I have a ZT mower, 36v golf cart, SXS, rock crawler, pair of kids ATV's, 2 trailers, tow rig, beater car, wife's ride and a tractor. Forget about the tools... im always putting air in a tire.Mine is the heart of the shop. They'll go up the wall if I ever need them to.
I lucked out with the current shop... it has a full bathroom with area for washer and dryer. I've got the compressor in that spot and nearly boxed in with some old home made studio panels that are just stone wool batting. With the bathroom door shut I can barely hear it kick on. Even with the stereo turned down to conversation volume it all but disappears.Sadly doesn't look like this now, I've got shit on every horizontal surface. I need a solid weekend to start over.
I had big plans to do the same until I heard this one run lol. It's the quietest I've ever heard. It's 4' from my main bench.I lucked out with the current shop... it has a full bathroom with area for washer and dryer. Same.Following. I really need time to do some work in my garage.
No one has anything from NewAge products? I’ve been considering them for my garage for the past couple years, and am almost decided on a layout that will work for my 2-car garage. I’d love to see any setups using that…
Rent a storage space in one of those self storage places for all your misc crap, give it away, sell it in FB MP or CL or move out of the HOA.Not allowed. HOA
I couldn’t go without a decent sized air compressor and I don’t fab as much as I used too. I have my Curtis 5HP 80 gallon compressor in my shop in my basement. I have a buried 1” ID blue pex line running from my basement to my shop 150’ away. Plus I have it plumbed up to my 2 car garage as well. I have it in my basement for a climate controlled atmosphere. I have a DeWalt portable air compressor too that works good for my nailers and that. I may sell it once my home remodeling is done. For me, air compressors take up too much floor space, I'm getting rid of mine and goining with a CO2 tank since I almost never use my air tools anymore.
