It doesn't. You tell it you want a pic and describe what you want in it. It will go through curated(ish) memory banks and find pictures of what it thinks you are looking for and will mash them together.

It's impressive how you can put simple text in and the first thing it produces is pretty much spot on what you described. And you can just keep hitting 'generate' and it will spit out a different version every time.
