Year before last I fell down a flight of stairs as I stepped out a doorway. Had zero idea what happened, I was really confused. Got in the truck and drove off and when I went to get out I felt my foot do it. Usually it happens several time in the span of 10 min. or so and then goes away. No idea what causes it but it probably happen's several times a year.
I'd never fallen before that or since then though.

Tha what???

Are you thinking this condition was caused by the fall or caused the fall?

It literally feels like someone threw a switch and your foot is dead. Zero motor or muscle control.
Pretty bizarre feeling, is just a momentary thing.
Foot droop? Loss of feeling and muscle control?

Is your back or neck messed up?

Yes, my back is all kids of fooked several bulged disc's and a couple ruptured. I broke my C1 when I was young. I have lots of nerve issues from it
On any ADHD meds? I know strange question

For real though. Pinched nerve in your back/sciatic nerve. When I broke my back I injured my L3/L4/L5 and my leg would go numb from time to time. Once in a while I would lose feeling in the leg and fall on my face when doing things like bending over to put socks or pants on. At first the wife was very concerned, but after a while she thought it was hilarious. This was in my early 20s.

I'd guess the nerves in your back are fucked up from your back issues.
I had a bulging disk at L5 S1, after surgery 10 years ago it took the numb spot in my foot 7-8 years to go away.

This sounds like a nerve thing in the back. I have had something similar but not as bad. I use an inversion table for 20-30 minutes most days and it hasn’t happened in years.

I use my tens unit almost every morning and love my inversion board which I use 4-6 times a week. Both of those help a lot.

I can't take most pain meds as they make me sick and don't work well enough to be worth it.
I have discovered gummy's and they help a great deal. I have some I can take during the day and some I can only take at night

I have a good friend that had similar experience. It got worse and more frequent to the point she fell down a flight of stairs too. She had back surgery to repair some disc deterioration issues and going through therapy now, all seems to be improving.

I wonder about that when fishing or hanging out at a pool. A momentarily lapse near a body if water can be just a tad too long :ghost:

Could be peripheral neuropathy. Happens for many reasons. My mom has it permanently after breaking her neck in a fall. In her hands too. Sucks big time.

I get it when I put my feet up on a desk too long. I've got some nerves that pinch in my back in certain positions.

One of our elder cats had it because of diabetus, which killed him eventually. :flipoff2:
