Food card

This …. Is incorrect.

If you eat 4000 calories and then burn 4100 calories exercising you will lose weight. That’s true whether the calories come from cupcakes or carrots.
Problem is is way easier to eat 4000 calories than to burn that many off. 4000 calories in one day is a hell of a lot of exercise that you would not be able to do on a daily basis without being a Superman.

I understand that, I was trying to point out that you can lose weight even if the only thing you eat is junk food so long as you create a calorie deficit.

BTW rock climbers can burn off that number of calories in just a few hours of climbing.
 
It's all a fucking joke.

Taxes required... attendance required... kid wants to eat but you make and arbitrary income? That's be $3.50 for their lunch or you're a bad parent and CPS will be in contact.

Also, need a 20 million dollar bond for sportsball field and megatron... FOR THE CHILDREN.
 
Our district was pushing for a while to get everybody signed up for various free-this and free-that programs, because if more than x% of their students are on some form of aid, the school gets enough state/fed (don't know the balance) money to make school lunches (breakfast now too IIRC) "free" for all the kids.

Of course, once they got the extra $$, the quality went even lower, so every kid that can, brings their own lunch anyway.
 
On longer trips, I’ve realized that adding a few real food options can really help with keeping energy up. I usually bring dried fruits, nuts, and small packs of olives or pickles. They’re easy to store and add a bit of fresh flavor to all the freeze-dried stuff, which gets old fast.
 
I have done this experiment 3 times:

Invite US friend to live with me in Europe (France) for an extended period of time (has to be long enough to see changes).
Over the course of the next 3 months they have all lost 20+ lbs from diet change alone.
No gym, no starving, no privations of the great local delicacies etc.

Just better food intake.

Did wonders for an ex. She looked :smokin:



Also fun fact :

They all went back to the US, and all re-gained the weight :grinpimp:

No shit!. No fast food, small refrigerator and stove.. Fresh food! Cook everything from scratch. You find yourself shopping everyday to cook a nice meal. You make just enough so you don't have leftovers! :smokin:

I kept doing this to this day.
It's possible.
Worth noting, I don't have kids, I bet this puts damper in the food prep timing.
