Ran all week and feel like nothing got done.

Has taken me 3 weeks to get this far on swapping plastics. Decided to get XC stuff instead of stuff for a W. :homer: ,..... lotta cutting and grinding to make fit:lmao:

I haven’t been on a bike in a very long time, yet I still have an itch to get a project bike to play with on the property.

It has been a longish week work wise, but I’m in the process of finishing up a lot of stuff. Kids, wife, and I have all been sick at various times due to the kids being little germ factories. Wife has strep and some kind of eye infection, so I took care of the kids this AM. Defoliated some cotton this afternoon before taking the kids Halloween shopping (4 year olds request) and grocery shopping. Now, drinking a beer and contemplating switching to bourbon.

gOt home, pig dog still in the driveway.

Since i took the saw operator position o have been complaining about the laser scanning system being not just inprecice but WILDLY wrong. 9 months of getting called out for cutting oversized and calling back at them that the computers are lying. Getting conteadictory info from the other sawyer, floor super, plant manager, the op that taught me, all telling me different limits for sizes, stack counts.

I get told not to 4 side a log, cut 2 slabs bigger to knock the final set to " 33" and i never get cant's stuck". I get told slab width goal is 28-30", scanner lies 2-4" at any given scan.

I get called down for sending 5 cants 31" and the machine shit bricks and fucked one cut up and made 11 2x4" and a 9" waste slab.
So YOUR comp lied to me, YOUR comp fucked the second step and its MY fault?

So i spent the first 2 hrs of shift taking pics of every bad scan. 73 logs, depending on size i will make 1-4 scans per log, i got 50 pics and it would have been more but after 3-4 failed scans i gave up.

Mostly good scan. Length is wrong and hieght is about 6" short.

Everything is massively incorrect.

Watching Wait Until Dark at the local HS. Daughter's friend is playing the detective. Saw the movie when I was my son's age. They're doing a fine job.

I forgot we were at a public school until I read in the program all the pronouns and male actors thanking their boyfriends.:shaking:

After this I'll boil some pasta and fast track some sauce. Then play Fallout because the scenery is better in the game than in Bakersfield :lmao:

Fancee!

We just did that shit in our heads at the sawmill.
The guy that ran it most of the time made it seem easy. I tried to cut an order when he was out and he's probably still swearing about it and claiming the mill cuts different... and he died a few years ago.

Thats what im fighting.

The day guy has been cutting for 17 years. Does not give a single shit about any of the computers or lasers.

The guy that taught me does not give a single shit about what he sends out.

The floor super spends enough time in there to prove hes fast, and because hes in the booth hes not checking cuts so not getting called out for breaking his limits.

I DONT KNOW A GODDAMN THING. But i can follow the #s and and immposed limits. So im counting on the #s to tell me what im working with and where im cutting, and the machine is lieing, the saw line laser isnt lined up, i have 1 actual measurement to base my limits on.

The biggest problem im having IS I ACTUALY GIVE A SHIT and want to do a good job. Everyone knows exactly who the fuck up in the line is. I never want to be that guy. I do fuck up occasionaly and at $650/min i hate it .
