My grandma always used her Guardianware roaster...I trried a few in bread pans and other roasters, none ever came out like hers....found one at an antique store and snagged it, swear to God, that was the secret...I now have like three of the damn things in case one breaks :lmao:

Wrapped up a 'double' day... it should have ended quicker but minor fawk up added ~40 minutes to the day:homer:

Fired up the 'old' S10 after having to jump it... with a new battery from RockAuto:shaking: Ironic since I've got a Gooloo self jumper on the way. Not perfect running but not bad after sitting for about a year. Sunday will get the under carriage pressure washed before I drop the bed and bolt it down(had to replace fuel pump). I'm going to use it to shuffle some 'large' trunks around the yard. I didn't want to risk the daily doing something stupid and having a log roll on it... OTOH, the body on the daily is beat to shit... not sure there is a straight piece of steel on it except for passenger door:eek: (Three deer eat vehicles up) Next year, the 4.3L will get swapped into the FJ40 carcass.

Speaking of daily driver, I'll get half the front suspension swapped out on Sunday. New lower control arm, ball joint, and shock for the passenger side. Sadly, Amazon looks to have lost the driver side control arm:mad3: Once that comes in and is wrapped up, it gets an alignment and new tires(may opt for new to me again).

Hopefully in the next week or two, the old pain in the ass house is out of my life. I still have the current pain in the ass but at least I like the property/neighborhood... just not the state:emb: Once the old house is gone, a couple of minor 'major' purchases on the list: new daily(eyeing ~2006 ML Mercedes SUV with CDI engine), and 20x30 covered parking to hide my fleet of projects.

my dad used to make spaghetti in one of them, he retired it after he started getting roped in on all the "aluminum causes alzheimers" stuff
it was pretty heavily pitted on the parts where food would touch it, but I don't figure the most abundant metal in the earth's crust affects humans all that negatively
 
Ok, officially checking in.

Work was just annoying this week. Management has been looking at making some “changes”. If they start screwing around too much I may pull my retirement card. Other than that it was an uneventful week.

Tonight in Chico they are celebrating Oktoberfest (a little early, Sierra Nevada brewery puts it on). A couple of the cousins went up to party with the youngest kid :beer::beer:
