Living in hell

had a good interview today for a position as a field project manager for a laboratory casework company.

they left it as i will be getting a call early next week to meet the team and see how i would fit in.

the current company i work for is failing on the architecture division.
have not had a review or rise in 3 years.

so ready to move on and get out of the architecture end of life and go back to the construction field end.

In. Let someone go on Tuesday, spent the rest of the week trying to get his shit straightened out. What accounts he had, what vendor info he had, that kinda shit.

Need to work on a dead friends 92 ranger... he bought it new, lived out a good life and now it is his daughters. Needs a lot of minor work but the oil pan gasket has split so I need to replace it... and you have to lift the motor/pull the trans on this 3.0 to make it happen... FML.

I need something to go right....

I thought you were a farmer lol

raining at my place, visited the dad
visited the old workplace, changed their air compressor oil and drained ten gallons of condensate out of each tank
put a new handle on a shovel I bought for a dollar. Handle was 11 dollars, was hard to justify but I don't have my belt sander set up so thinning down the old handrail I had set aside for such use wasn't gonna happen.

sounds like it needs a 2.3 and a 5spd
eta: or a little kubota

In, spent some time in the excavator after work, cleaning up some of the mess I made cutting logs this winter. I’ll grease it in the am and continue on. I think my wife is home tomorrow so she can run it and I’ll be on the ground with the saw cutting.

small farming operation
could not survive on it, but brings in cash in the fall

Loading up the race car for tomorrow's shenanigans. The race is 6 laps around the campground; stop and chug a beer after each lap. Following the race will be power hour; 1.5 oz shot of minimum 4.5% beer every 60 seconds for an hour . . . or until the last man is standing. DQ'd for puking. :smokin:

In, helped the staff clean out a couple of our buildings being torn down in a couple weeks. Bought everyone lunch, they seemed happy. They have ben vacant for over a decade, and where pretty nasty, so I came home and showered after. Now surfing the web drinking a beer.

In, packing my shit so I can get out of Pennsylvania by Monday, tired of waiting on doctors and need to get out of geezer village, don`t know where i`m heading or where i`ll be working but that just adds to the excitement right?

Sounds like an awesome adventure. Good luck. I'm envious.

No idea what the hell is up with the kid tonight, but acting like a total dick. Interrupting, throwing shit, talking back. He's gotten two spankings and three time outs. Kept gurgling his milk so I took his plate and threw it out removing him from the table.

Path of Exile for the night.

In. Costco, groceries etc. Got that all done and we went out and got a yard of soil for the garden and greenhouse, got all that unloaded and greenhouse ready to go as well as the yard dethatched and fertilized. I am fucking beat as is the GF. Nobody is cooking tonight so it's a fend for yourself Friday here. I am fending for myself with my first Caesar of the evening and contemplating something to eat for later probably gonna be baked tortellini in marinara sauce with meat balls.

Awesome news, hope it all comes together for you Jeep numbers!

Not a lot planned here, we will likely go for a quick drive in the nearby canyons.

Earlier this week I resolved VVT issue that was plaguing fun car since I got it - kept throwing P0012 code, I would reset it and it will come back occasionally. Recently it did hard CEL - could not reset / my OBD II readiness monitors would not set due to it.
Long story short whomever owned it before me took apart cam phaser (attaches to the intake cam gear), upon assembly they didn’t put the viton seals/metal springs right - it was stuck in full retard position and not able to move as designed (opens and closes based on the oil pressure fed to it). So far so good, replacement unit is $550, likely saved over a grand in diagnostics/repair since I could work on it myself versus paying someone else.

Some chores around house etc. for the weekend, about sums it up.

In, trying to decide if I will work tomorrow or not.
Been very busy getting my moms place ready to sell.

Holy crap. We ordered Chinese for delivery. I will be eating Chinese for a week. Fried crab wontons, pot stickers, princess beef, broccoli beef, princess chicken, pork fried rice, steamed rice, chicken chow mien, and won ton soup. I think the wife spent $150

In.

Bought an AR this week. Scoped it and dialed it in tonight. Loafing and drinking beer. Wife is now pissed, because I can’t find shit in her medicine/supplement cabinet because there’s 100 fucking bottles in there.

Awesome.

lol man, you can eat on chinese takeout for a week for about $15
get an order of something that is just meat, none of that rice and egg noodle shit, then make your own rice to stretch it way out

granted you do get pretty tired of stale ass general tso chicken by about the 5th day

In. Working.

Trying to get loaded tonight so I can be home at a decent hour tomorrow, instead of midnight.

Should be somewhere around 80 hours on the week by the time I'm done.

In Uintah, UT. Sitting in a hotel room at the mouth of a canyon. Drinking Corona. Been hanging out with some of my mom's family all day. My mom and I are moving my uncle (special needs) back to Sacramento, so he can live with my mom.

Pretty cool out here. Love to actually see jets in the air. Love Hill AFB

Not here. Hell I bought lunch for 6 of us today and spent $120. Hmm looking at it that way, I spent $270 on food today.:homer:

In. Lazin around, just finished a book after work. Have to work around a half day tomorrow, hopefully done in time to haul the Exploder I made go away from someones parking lot where they couldn't have it anymore to the Upullnpay. It's 70 miles away so I need a couple hours to get there in time with a reasonable margin of flat tire, etc error time. It's on the trailer ready to go.
