Thanks for the encouragement, dickhead. FWIW, I never left for a storm pre kids, even Cat 4’s on track for our location. With 4 and 6 year old boys now, being “Billy bad ass” against Mother Nature isn’t much of a priority. Our oldest was saying “bye” to his toys as we left, and we haven’t tried to scare them. My wife was packing up the kids handprints and our wedding album to bring with us

Go eat shit, asshole.

If I offended you with the salt life and flogrown sticker comment.

I’m not sorry.

But your logic to travel directly 3 hours north and still be in the path of a hurricane and heavy rainfall. With the potential to flood you out.
:homer:

It’s apparent you can’t handle criticism. Or even figure out how to navigate out of a path of destruction. Maybe this isn’t the forum for you.

No one needed to hear justification from you about evacuation. In fact no one really noticed your existence any greater then mine.

But if you think I wouldn’t take the opportunity to point out the irony. Off your profile name and your current agenda. Bullshit.

Did you at least wave good bye to your John Deere gator before you drove away. :flipoff2:
:flipoff2:

This is definitely not you in the first picture. :flipoff2:

You are now defined as the second picture. :flipoff2:

Power back on at 450 AM. Did a quick walk around the property in the dark and looks like a LOT of debris in the yard, but didn't see any downed trees although I just walked key areas. Cows are still present and accounted for, so fences are likely still up. Will have to do a more thorough inspection on the sun is up, but so far things are pretty positive.

Edit: Upon closer inspection during daylight hours we had a wax myrtle that fell across the back fence. Fortunately it was bushy enough that the cows didn't figure out how to escape. Cut it off the fence this AM and fixed the fence, so all good for now other than cleanup operations.

Waiting to hear from Julie's family. Most evacuated. Some went to GA and some MS. Some stayed.
It looked like they would take a direct hit in Crawfordsville (think that's the name).

This storm set record Storm surges in quite a few areas. Sarasota and Bradenton got flooded pretty badly close to the water. Crazy storm season so far be between the record flood waters last month and now the record storm surge is this month
Thanks for the update. I'll text my friend. She's inland a few minutes so I'm hoping she's fine.

I just got a text from my cousin in NC 30-40 MPH winds and rain, but no damage to his place. He is east Buncombe, Mcdowell, and Rutherford counties he said they are getting hammered

Texted my friend in Bradenton, she's complaining about it being hot as she cleans up the palm fronds. Lol, hope everyone else survived with minimal damage.

A lane of I-40 near the TN/NC line is gone. Hospital in Unicoi County, TN is under water as is downtown Newport, TN. There will be way more deaths in TN/NC than in FL.
