Fishing buddies "massacred" in BFE

Fishing in the swamp at 10 pm. Ok

Exactly. No tinfoil needed to see that the story being told is not what happened.

Sounds to me like they either ran into some cartel business while out there or were conducting some themselves when shit went south. Not a single part of the dads story is all that believable.

I know..... panic, adrenaline, you were not there, ect....

:flipoff2:

A man has to know his limitations and know when the "law" violates the constitution as in the RTKBA.

Those that live within this imaginary construct can either do what their told by gov or do what they need to do to maintain the vertical status.

BLM and Antifag wont obey the "law" and will use firearms in an offensive manner so be armed to defend yourself from these scum the government lets roam the street, the old saying comes to mind I would rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6.

Love ya 2BB, but that, all by itself, is bad advice because it's incomplete. You left out the most important part. You have to be in an area where it is otherwise legal to target shoot/hunt/etc.

So no, you can't pack while you fish Berkley Pier or the beach at Pacifica, but you can pack while you fish a remote stream up in the mountains where you could otherwise legally shoot anyway.
As far as going to and from, once again, same thing. If you are walking through a forest wilderness where it would be ok to target shoot or hunt, then you can pack along that hike. But you can not carry a gun from the parking lot at Shadow Cliffs in Pleasanton to walk to the shore to fish for rainbow trout there.

You get shot you call 911, you get shot while you are up to no good and don't want the cops involved you call someone else. That simple. Mystery solved unless it was aliens

Is this place remote enough to have spotty cell coverage? We don't know the exact location, Frostproof is a Florida town, but there are boondocks all around it. Florida boondocks can be problematic with cell tower construction? Swampy?

And if it's a 'massacre', then he has a wet, bloody mess on his hands. I think it's entirely reasonable that the dad took one look at what was left of his son and his friends and didn't even consider reaching into their pockets for their cell phones. Or even looking at all if they were in such a ghastly state:

One would assume Dad has not been to a lot of murder scenes in his life, and people get shocked. I was shocked when a woman got hit by a car this winter and got a compound fracture. Seeing disfigured human bodies is a pretty shocking thing.

BLM is at the absolute bottom of the list IMO.

My shot in the dark: It's drug traffickers, probably small-timers. Did they run into something like this?

Hey stupid fuckstick, his son called him for help out there.:homer:

Fishing in the swamp at 10 pm. Ok

Pretty common around here, when the heat index is 102 in the day. Plus having kids makes the early morning trips difficult a lot of the time. Easy to get out of the house once everybody has wound down.

Like I said though, I’m hoping it WAS drug related and not just random.

Not necessarily, I didn’t even think to call 911 when I was on the road dying bleeding out. I called one of my friends first.

When My dad was still alive I would have probably called him first because he was "dad who took care of everything" Now then he would have probably called before heading out, but then he was a fireman who had been on the rescue for a lot of his carreer

Self preservation wasn't the first thing that went through your head after the accident? Why are you still with us then? Your buddy call 911 for you?

Why not? I catfish after 10 un until 3 in the AM often during the summer.

Who knows what they were up to... but it isn't an unusual thing to fish at that time of night.

If that had happened your dad would have probably called you a dumbfuck for not saving several minutes by calling 911 first. He should have taught you better. Maybe the dead guy in Fla was a dumbfuck also.

It will still call 911

If the dad knew how to use it he could have called 911. But there is probably more to the story because watching the video posted earlier it looks like the dad was capable of picking up the son and loading him into his vehicle.

Thank you for your opinion, which as we all know are like ass holes everone has one and some are one!

When in rural areas, calling 911 is not a priority if one can transport, as m92pv4u said. At my farm, it’s 20 minutes best case scenario before help would arrive.

Maybe the kid called the dads landline because he was in shock and not thinking right. It was never stated that he called the dads cell. So the dad hops in his truck and hauls ass out there. In my area we do fish at night occasionally and if we call 911, we get the state police who may or may not be close.

Or they burned their heroin distributor and walked into an ambush. That sheriff seemed to have his shit together so we may find out the truth.

So if you call 911 help will be there in 20 minutes. Is whoever that answers when you call your farm going to have the equipment and knowledge of an emt crew? This guy called his dad who we are told took 10 minutes to get there and I am a bit skeptical of that. Now What? Unless his dad is an emt with an ambulance how does that help anything? Even if his dad had his cell phone with him you just lost at least 10 minutes. What if his dad was in the shower when he called or in the middle of banging his wife? If you need an ambulance call 911 or roll the dice.

You made a blanket statement about calling 911 if you get shot. When you are shot you revert to what you know. Shock does crazy things

My helmet flew off in the first impact and then I smashed my skull into the street. So I pro wasn’t thinking straight. I do remember thinking that my leg was broke and I’d get a cast and heal up. There were people there when I came to but I e no idea if any of them called 911. I didn’t ask them to I just asked a person next to me for my cell phone in the box on my bike. A cop showed up only because he was driving that road back to his station. I lost so much blood it ran from the center of the road across the lane and into the ditch. I passed out not much longer after the cop got there. I knew I was dying and left it in Gods hands, I wasn’t scared to go in the least.

I feel bad for these young men to have met their demise in this manner. If it was a bad drug deal I won’t give two fucks about it tho.
