My wife seems to find money all the time pennies and up ...... She looks at her feet when she walks so I think that helps, when we ride bikes she see snakes I never see cause I'm looking 100 yards ahead for bears and deers.

She found $100 bill yesterday by the "money tree" next to the dumpster.

Best I did was a $20 bill in high winds blowing by me in a Walmart parking lot.

Always found cash laying around when I was younger. All kinds of bills just walking around, up against trees, on sidewalks, in mulch beds, etc. Always opened random unlocked lockers at amusement parks, roller rinks, etc and that was usually good for a few bucks. Found like $600 at Disney World at one of the water parks when I was 13ish just sitting in a random unlocked locker. Always gave shit back if I saw someone drop something, but if it's just laying around, finders keepers I guess. Been a long time since I've seen money just fallen out somewhere though, then again people don't carry cash as much and I'm not out walking around in cities or places people gather anymore either.

Dropped a 20 dollar bill in a bank parking lot, when I got it out from under my car I found a 50 dollar bill there too. Went in and asked if anybody had asked about something they dropped. No one had. I find smaller bills usually folded up once or twice a year.

My son and wife spent their honeymoon at the Bellagio in Las Vegas. While in their hotel room, and while his bride was taking a shower, my son said to himself "where would I stash money if I were a previous guest". As he looked around, he moved a nightstand. Under the leg of the nightstand, he found 5 - crisp, folded up $100 bills. Probably the previous guest got too drunk to remember they stashed it there. My son has all the luck....

I couldn’t find my chips or cash one morning in Vegas. Wrote it off as a long night. Next afternoon I moved the end table and found my cash and chips behind/under it. I must have half thrown it at the table headed to bed. I was up, and not down. Made me wonder how often that happens.

In my 20s we found $300 cash on the floor in a bar at like 10 pm. That was a good chunk 30 years ago. Asked the bartender if anybody lost any cash.

“Nope.”

We had a good time.

We have a feed mill on my moms side of the family that’s been around over 100 years. My uncle Alan and his brother Rodger ran the place after their dad retired. When my uncle Alan died my aunt was cleaning out his office. She found over $20,000 in quarters that my uncle had hidden. The most I ever found was just over $200 at the beach in the water when I was a kid. If I remember correctly my mom took that shit.

That reminds me, I did find a couple grand in the drive through ATM a couple months ago. I just took it inside and left it with the tellers. I am sure the person who left it was frantically looking for it not too long after.

Been surveying for over 25 years. In that time I have walked hundreds if not thousands of miles of roadway. I have found a lot of stuff that fell out of vehicles or blown out the windows. Lots of cash around toll booths and quite a few wallets and purses. I have returned many of them but it hasn’t always been possible. No telling how much money it has been over the years.

I spotted a wallet with a big wad of cash in it under a bench at a restaurant a couple years ago. I gave it to the person at the register. Asked about it a while later (months because it was out of town by 80 miles for me). They didn't remember. I didn’t want to deal with finding the owner and wasn't going to steal it so I hope they did the right thing. I took the easy way out. The wad was different colors so I'd bet it was at the least a few hundred.

I've only found money a few times. 20ish years ago I found a $100 bill on the sidewalk in San Francisco. This spring wife and I spotted a $100 bill on the sidewalk in Vegas. I've found a few small bills here and there o er the years, but those are the two memorable ones.

I've lost a $100 bill out of my pocket one day. I hope whoever found it really needed it. I was walking thru a car show awhile back, and it was windy, and there was a couple $20's blowing around. wasn't close to anyone at that point so scooped them up and carried on. I found a 50 in the trunk of a car we were going to scrap once.

Boss once paid me two weeks wages cash in the middle of the parking lot. (If you guys remember that payroll company that folded up on the middle of the night and stole like $13m of funds that’s why) I put it in my pocket and got fuel but otherwise drove right home. I did the old paranoid pat the pocket check twice when I got back in after fuel. Cool, it’s still there. By the time I got home the cash was gone from my pocket. No where to be found just gone. I figure it got lost under the car seat or something. I removed the seat nothing. Later drove that car in a demo derby and gutted it and still no cash. Who ever found it can keep it, I just want to know how it teleported from my pocket and where it went.

Another time as a kid, maybe just turned 3 years old, I had this tonka set of truck/dozer/crane/ trackhoe/loader toys I loved. I had this weird obsession with lining up the fleet for the night and looking at them out the slider window. My favorite was the loader, it was bigger and plastic and you could sort of ride it while working the bucket. I “parked” them for the night before a snow storm rolled in. I remember looking out the window and watching the snow build on the toys. I go to bed and wake up next morning and the loader isn’t there. It’s just gone. There’s no tracks up to where it was, just fresh undisturbed powder. There’s no indent where it was, there’s nothing to even indicate it was there. Just gone. Never found it in the spring or ever. I recently asked my dad if he remembered this happening and he instantly knew what I was talking about and told me he was creeped out by it too and he still thought about it every so often. He asked me how I remembered something from so long ago but I’ve never forgotten how weird it was. He said his tools would disappear too, not from outside but inside the house.

So there’s a vortex that steals things from me I guess.

Found 500 bucks that fell out of a 25 dollar slot machine at the clarion hotel casino in reno back when my exwifes GF took me to dinner and bank rolled my play on the slots and video poker.

I worked at wreaking yrd for a while in the 70s, when ever a new wreak was brought in the first thing we would do was search it for valuables, found out on some vehicles you cout take off the horn ring and find stuff. most was a hundred dollar bill, but 20s were not uncommon

I find coins all the time. Found a quarter on the ground at night here recently. Wife was like how the fuck did you see that. I don’t look at the ground while walking, but things that don’t belong will jump out and be obvious. It’s kinda weird. I’ve tracked more than one deer from a single tiny drop of blood about the size of a pin head on a blade of grass.

Found a $10 in my ski jacket from the previous season.

Found a $20 in a parking lot in downtown Dallas once.

But the best one is a $100 bill I found on a shelf in an upscale hotel room. That’s an advantage to being tall enough to see over the tops of lots of things. Guess the cleaning crew couldn’t see it. :smokin:

I've found three hundred dollar bills on separate occasions in the home depot parking lot. Contractors are dropping cash all the time there

You did the right thing. If some other motherfucker didn't that's on them. I found a good wad of cash at the Best Buy in Belmar about a decade ago. No clue how much it was. There was only me and one other guy around. I asked him if he might've dropped some cash and he checked his pockets and said yes. I gave it to him. If he lied I hope he choked to death that night but I slept well.

Yep. I’ll never keep a wallet that’s been dropped. Two separate times I’ve found women’s wallets in a shopping cart in a cart return stall in a grocery store parking lot. I’ve always turned them into store management. Hopefully they made it back to their owners.

When I used to work for the local town, we had free dump day once a year.

Someone dropped off a dryer in the steel pile. I was moving it and change began falling out every time I would tip it a certain way. Got something like $85 outta it. I had filled a hub cap

Last shitbox I bought had $30 in coins under the seats and in the ashtray.

I may have found $50 total floating around outside in my lifetime.

i usually find money in other peoples wallets

Seems more difficult to get them to hand it over than a year ago and prior,

I found $300 in 20's at work. No wallet. Asked Sec if anyone had reported lost cash, nope nothing. 20 mins later called and said someone asked if anyone found the same amount of money, in 20s. Dude had lost his rent money from his pocket.

Find dimes and quarters here and there. Pennies are hard to pickup.
