Can someone find my old truck?

1GTCS19X1T8513602

I did a scammy Google search it only shows when I transferred it to me in 2018. Is it still in my name?

If who I sold it to is still alive that’s cool, but if he died, and one of the crackheads that was hanging around has it, I might be inclined to retrieve it.

Your local DMV can tell you. Dealing with old farm trucks I run across this often when a truck has no current title in my name. Every state is slightly if not hugely different about this. But that's your first step anyways. Either me or the future buyer.

I had someone interested in a parts truck once and went to DMV only to be told that the title was currently registered. That situation I'm stuck to part it out. Or go to the owner in which I can see me now driving down a dirt path to some hillbilly in the sticks using a title to a parts truck I agreed to purchase to register another vehicle.:homer: That's a big ole Nope!

But start at your DMV. It's "usually" free.

Go to the DMV
"hey I lost the title to my truck, here's my license, it's the 1984 lada niva"
"sorry, there's no lada on here"
oh that's okay

that's kinda statistey behavior

'you didn't pay fifteen bucks to the crown to transfer the title, so I'm going to steal it back now"
No, I had to pull that card when I "sold" a VW Jetta Mk2 to a female acquaintance of a friend of mine. She was supposed to make weekly payments but only ever gave me the first one. The deal was I kept the title and tags in my name until it was paid off. After about two months of no payments I left her a voicemail (Bitch never answered the phone) that if I didn't have all of the money by the next evening I was going to report it to the police as stolen and she could deal with them. Somehow the $$$ appeared like magic... :flipoff2:

I traded my Buick in (2001 Regal GS) in Canandaigua a couple years ago. A few months later I started getting phone calls from the Buffalo PD regarding (my) car had been impounded and I could have it back if I come pay the $300 bill. I pondered getting it back for a while, as a field car, or engine donor, but then my paranoia figured they just wanted to bust me for some shit they found in it so I stayed clear of it. Called them up and told them I traded it in and they never contacted me again.

Cool starry bra.

MA shows you everything they know about that was last titled in your name if you punch your DL and SSN into the website.

That came about as a result of the system revamp they did to make everything work with AAA and other 3rd party DMV services providers.

IDK if Vermont has similar.

OK, so the title is officially in his name, cool, he did short me 100 bucks, I wasn’t worried about it then, same now. It’s probably sitting in front of a trailer up on blocks.

I know he had a leg amputated, the person he had driving it fried the clutch. Was some older disability dude trying to get by.

oh, MN treats you like every state agency ought to when you ask anything about anything

whole bunch of "get fucked, pay me and I'll tell you to get fucked harder, shoot your dog and arrest your mother for even thinking that you're welcome here"

To be fair, MN has been trying to out communist CA for awhile now. :flipoff2:

Pa gov was good to him, he wanted me to help him hook up an electric forced hot air furnace so he could stop paying for fuel oil or propane. Said Electricity is gonna cost a fortune. “My electric bill is capped.” Think it works out to a single digit percentage of his income.
