Dude was a bad ass, taught me to sail.

I used to spend the summers at his lake house up in Maine.

He was pretty much an old school gangster kind of guy.

Always drove a Cadillac, always with a dealer tag on it even though he did not have a car dealership.

Was into the crazy expensive powerboats, last one I saw was twin supercharged 600 ci inboards.

Anyway dude was 80, would not stop driving even though his close family was begging him not to.

Went off the road and flipped his car yesterday, dead on scene.

I worry about this shit. I am a stubbern bastard. I can see telling everyone to fuck off that I am fine to drive.

My Grandfather, before he died, also would not stop driving.

He took off one day to go to the store around the corner from his house, was found 2 days later 100's of miles away out of gas and very confused.

Shit is scary.

I don't know, these last few years I have been feeling my age and shit just is kind of got me worrying.

Sorry for your loss he sounds like a top G

But also not fair for anyone else on the road if someone is a danger. Going through this now with my 96 year old grandfather. It’s not fun

Here are some pics of him

My favorite uncle blew thru a stop sign at 65 mph. Killed himself and the kid that he plowed into. He also should have stopped driving. Sorry for your loss.

I remember when I was a kid, like 14 or so and I asked him what he did for work, what he said I have always remembered but never really understood until way later.

He told me he was into 'information'

He said information was everything and the more you had the better you were.
He sounds like my mob grandfather. Mine did own a MOPAR dealership so he and my dad, always used dealer plates. My dad only so he could drive the new Challengers off the lot.

I am so sorry for your loss. Your uncle looks like a cool af guy to sit and chat with. Biggest of hugs to you.

Dibs on your uncle's stuff, too soon? :flipoff2:

Sorry for your loss. It took my grandma totaling her car before we got her to stop driving. Luckily, no one was hurt in the crash.
