Iv built a few hybrid ones over the years
The blue 4runner has been upside down around 8 times and the cage has held up great.
i think exos look better than internal cages, people that think theyre ugly are boring ass lame fucktards

Anyone over about 5' 4' isn't going to be happy with a Toyota and an internal cage anyway.

wow really? mini trucks are mini sized? you guys are like full of knowledge and stuff, totally just schooled meLike YotaAtieToo said, an exocage is pretty much mandatory for a mini truck build unless you are a miget or like banging your head on hard immovable tubular objects.
As far as exo's go..... Some are tasteful others are hideous. Depends who builds it.
Why wait for the glass to break, time to bust out the Sawzall 😅I follow you guys, I fricken love that blue runner. If the glass finally ever brakes in my truck its getting re done like that rig.
Here’s a few I saved when I wanted to do a exo on my first gen
This has always been the downside of an exo on a suv for me. At least on a single cab truck you can fit cross bracing and B billar support without chopping holes in the roof.Found these on social media. This was from a high speed roll over on the road, but really hoping to avoid this kinda thing happening.

A buddy just stumbled across this post. The red 4runner is mine. If you search #IFsrunner on IG and click recent the built pictures should show up. The goal was to build a full body rig that could follow my friends buggies while hauling tools and coolers.Their ugly I get it. But head room is great and trying to semi - keep the body ok (who knows why, its just going to get trashed eventually) typically are a "one hard roll" kinda cage.. bue were gonna do one anyway.
Heres a bunch of photos I had saved:
