Wow, there was so much information in the first episode with Nick that we ran out of time. We brought him back…as promised for more!!! Nick answers a few questions about the Glacier Girl recovery and then we dive into recovery equipment! This is great information from a guy that know his stuff. If he uses it and trusts it, so should you! As we have mentioned on the show over and over the weather in the high sierra is nothing to take lightly and even the most experienced and equipped people can be caught off guard and in trouble. Lots to learn here and everyone should know who Nick is in case they need to be recovered…snow or shine!
Some of the equipment that he operates includes a Toyota 4Runner (we know), Kawasaki ATV, he has a Can-Am SxS and various other tracked and wheeled vehicles to aid in back country recoveries. There will be more of these types of episodes in the future because we know the popularity of the sport has really taken off and sometimes people bite off more than they can chew.
Grab your favorite beverage and hold on!
Cheers!

Great show. We have a downed liberator bomber not far from where i live. Beautiful Betsy dissapeared in feb 1945 and was missing until August 1994. Now a war grave in one of our national parks.

Great information!
Washing tow straps: when mine gets muddy, I will wash it in the washing machine. Very little soap, gentle cycle, and extra rinse. I air dry outside. Don't do it if it has a metal hook.
Having dirt in the fabric will shorten it's lift.
