Anyone rocking Johnny Joints for engine mounts? I was thinking some adjustability would be nice since my frame is completely custom and if I am off a touch it would be forgiving with powertrain angles.

I think Johnny joints would give you too much flex/wiggle room for the engine. Just do rubber mounts instead of poly and measure a lot to make it straight relative to your customed frame.

I used metalcloak duro flex joints for motor mounts, build is not done yet so I can’t say how they’ll do. I’m going to use the same joints for my trans/ T-case mount.

If you want adjustability they have threaded poly mounts that are identical to a Johnny joint but use poly instead

I used Barnes builder bushings for mine. My chassis mounts have a slot for a little adjustment.

bumping this up....other motor mount ideas? This is kinda nifty if you needed to raise the rear of the drivetrain to pull a case or trans.

I didn’t even think about that… but that makes a lot of sense as well!
