Is this a common quick connector? If so, what’s it called?

Its likely on mouser and or Digikey.

That's where I'd look.

Yep, where else can you dig through 28 bazillion options of shit you don't know the name of and thus will never find, but they likely have one, or 10,000.

Doesn't seem to be. May be a jpc proprietary connector series.

Something like this will be more common:

Link not working right. Search M3400 series from a manufacturer like amphenol industrial

Pins look similar to that of mil spec amphenol, even though the connector isn't. I've never used PLT in the facilities I've worked at, but can't say those aren't common. Look like a decent option for power connections though, depending on price, I'll have to keep them in mind. Hopefully the male pin connector you're holding isn't tied to a power source.

It looks like the same connector used on some CB and or Ham radio mics. I am retired and tossed all my reference material; Mouser is your best bet. :smokin:

The girl side is the source side, the boy side goes to the load.

it wouldn’t hurt my feelings if I could find something similar, but non-compatible that way there was no possibility of the new load getting swapped with the existing load in the future.

Stick with the M3400 series connectors then. Plentiful, cheap, multiple manufacturers, and won't mate with what you have there already.

Just check performance specifications on the series and pin layout (insert arrangement). Alldatasheets.com is a good online resource for connector specs. Steer clear of the older 5015 and 3100 series'
