Edisto Beach, Charleston, Savannah for a week, what to do

Looks like rain for the most part, and I don't like the ocean overall. Wife and kids enjoy it, but.....rain for 4 of the 5.5 days we are there. I live in KS, I love history, especially revolutionary and civil war, I eat mostly meat and that includes seafood. I'm mid 40's and enjoy a drink most days, but I don't go to bars per se, but a microbrewery is absolutely my thing.
Well, forgot to hit post, wife just called, Tropical Storm Debby might fuck the whole thing up to the point of pulling an audible and not going
