Who thinks we're actually recovering?

Who thinks it still has worse to get?

Who thinks bacon?

Fuel prices have gone up, food prices have gone up. Every time I hear a farm report prices are down. my wage has stayed the same low shit amount so I'm not spending on anything I dont need. Just keep printing money for all nonessentials unemployment. All while my dad is bitching his s.s. check is 20 days behind.

Right now we haven’t seen the dip. The government has pumped in so much money it has kept the economy artificially propped up.

i think a big dip is coming. And it’ll be around for a while.

Food is going up for sure. I have a good job but stashed my stimulus check for a rainy day. I think we will get worse as time goes on.

It is coming, and by that nothing good. I see utilities, property taxes, insurance etc. all getting higher soon - to make up for deficits and losses local governments took, what with people staying home and some not working.
They know those are bills just about mandatory, so easy peasy way to collect as far as they are concerned.

Wife and I were discussing it just a couple days ago, when fuel prices were at an all time high food prices followed, it was said the cost of food will come down once fuel costs get lower. We all know how that worked out, and many other things that followed the suit.

We are in for a shit show of epic proportions...

I’m with the “definitely not the bottom” folks. Stock market doesn’t mean shit, it could rebound in a day with things open and corona dead or a vaccine. Thankfully I’ve still had plenty of work coming in and the wife still has a job, but I am worried that if this thing drags on and on folks will just quit spending $.

I’ve known we were due for a downturn/recession for awhile, I’m hoping this event will take the place of it and with the timeline/bailouts not be as severe as something else might have been.

There is going to be a major second wave of this shit this fall. We haven't seen the worst of this pandemic yet and we're only beginning to see the economic impact. When this shit comes roaring back again this fall it's gonna get ugly. Economic bandaids aren't keeping this house of cards afloat until this time next year and that's likely what we'd need to avoid a serious economic collapse.

It's why I'm selling my house. I'm trying to cash in my chips and sit on a big ass pile of cash.

My business has been up 50-60%(retail/wholesale furniture) In my industry we will see a massive supply chain problem in the very near future. I sell 2 semis of mattresses a week usually. Right now I am selling 4 plus.

There is a massive shortage of employees and raw material. Hard to hire a unskilled labor @$17 an hour when they are getting 700-926 a week to stay home. I have been hiring 16-17year olds that have never worked. It’s so cool to see a kid that grew up poor and never had anything open their first $700+ weekly check. Those kids are hungry, the rest of the labor market is not.

When the stimulus and unemployment runs out it is going to be ugly. Prices on a lot of things will not crash when there is no new supply, even with diminished demand. I originally was thinking there would be a drop in value before inflation kicked in. I am not sure we will see that across the board.

And that cash might well be worth a fraction of what it is today. If the economy does crash massively we'll more than likely have hyper inflation.

Have you heard of the Dollar Millshake theory?

Not planning on sitting forever. Planning to buy a house probably around this time next year for considerably less than it's worth today.

I will say new home sales are still going strong. At least if you want one that comes on a trailer.

I know of one person who was working part time before this shit show, they are still working part time, collecting unemployment and the bonus. A local company cut wages by 10 percent. rumor has it they told affected employees to apply for unemployment. I've been told they are getting the bonus as well.

I'm all for voting every last asshole that voted for all this stimulus and bonus shit out of office.

We haven't seen the dip. That stimulus money got flushed down the toilet so that speculators could better time their market exit.

That was tax money on our grandkids to pay Trevor the Faggot and his Faggot Fucking Father the Financial Faggot now.

Fuck those Faggots.

Interesting to see the diverse replies.

I also think it's not seen the worst. The stimulus money is propping it all up. When it dries out there will be a much larger pain when millions are ripped from the supple teat of socialism.

And you see where these people saying business is better than ever? It’s because the morons on unemoyment don’t think it’ll end. Shit, they got cash coming in, why not buy a new mattress. They have no fear of not making rent.

Many are making more now then they did while they were working.

Nov. 4th. The election will be over and money will dry up. There wont be any point in buying votes till midterms.

When it crashes it is going to be bad. My personal Opinion is that Almost no one pays their bills or lives with a balanced budget. The government Certainly does not. If they have money they spend it, if they don’t have money they borrow it.

Taxes ARE going to go up. People that receive “assistance” will keep receiving. There will still be wage earners and wage takers. It is a giant food chain. I don’t like where the country is headed at all.

Ohhh I'm way beyond that point. When Trumpster with his 164 miles of wall is talking about bailing out the Cruise industry, I have absolutely no problem spending my Trumpbux. I don't give a fuck. 90% of the small businesses in my area can go bankrupt and the effect on me is I cant spend $6 for a glass of IPA.

Fuck small businessmen and their non-protesting ways. I better get mine. Fuck this mulsim and hispanic importing shithole. I don't deserve what's coming but most Americans do. Fuck em.

Hi, new guy here, been lurking on the old board for years... now posting here.

I am seeing a massive surge forward in the USA sewing industry. We mostly were able to keep our work in place and functional.

Military contract and medical reasons kept us running as usual during the corona flu.

Our little firm is up about 56% over this time last year. Our April is up 48% over last year.

In the last week I ordered six brand new sewing machines for about $15,000. We are very excited about the future.

My fear is that the supply chain will not be able to keep us up and running,,, I am starting to think I made a mistake in ordering the new sewing machines.

Did I screw the pooch by ordering the new machines??

k

You do realize those warning are brought to you by the same people who claimed millions would die in America, whose models have been proven so wrong they are pathatic?

I happen to have a good personal friend who just so happens to be a PhD professor at Johns Hopkins specializing in infectious disease. I don't watch the news for my COVID info.
