I find the 1.5" Dremel grinding wheels to be very handy, but they cost way more than 4.5"grinding wheels :homer: Does anyone know of a cost-effective place to buy them? They are $13+ each on Amazon now :shaking: Or a non-Dremel brand that isn't garbage, but I haven't seen one.

What are you doing that is going through those things so often?

Not that often, it just seems stupid paying $13 for a tiny 1.5" grinding wheel when you can pick up 4.5" grinding wheels for under $5/ea all day long. They are really handy for modifying axle shafts for full circle clips.

I bought a bag of maybe 100, mail ordered through eBay? around 2003 and I'm still working on it. Go through 1 or 2 a year.

Just grab a die grinder. Can get stuff cheap and anywhere.

Cordless ones arent a powerhouse by any means but they are badass. I use this one everyday

^ that little fawker is going to ruin my m18 only collection. Got a ingersol and it lasted 5 minutes before the head started to spin on the body. That and the compressor running are sealing the deal.

Edit: HA! Just realized i have a m12 heated jacket, so game on.

If you are hogging a bunch of iron off something...it aint the tool. But for 99% of die grinder stuff, yea its fucking awesome and why dont you already have one:laughing:

Has 3 or 4 speeds, kinda nice if you are fucking with plastic or aloominum.

Like I said, I use it every single day at work. Not sure how I did anything without it:grinpimp:

Huck that dremel and get something that has a 1/4 collet. Then the skys the limit on accessories sold by places like msc.com.
Carbide burrs are way cheaper per amount of material removed if you're buying dremel sized shit

Yea it moves a lil there if you lean on it. I could give a shit. Im amazed I dont have a couple more of them.

You can also get 1/8" collets for die grinders.
I accidently bought a big box of scotchbrite-like buffing balls from china and didn't realize they had 1/8" shafts until they showed up. Found an 1/8" collet for a typical die grind for a few bucks and was happy again.
