Dodge 360la 5 speed options

I have a 75 dodge ramcharger it was a mud truck in its past life. I want a rock crawler that can daily on the freeway!
I’m looking for a 5 speed manual transmission that with bolt up to a mopar 360 small block with or without adapter preferably that will accept a np231 tcase
I know the nv4500 will but I want other preferably cheaper options

Dodge went to the 3500 (or 3550?) in 94 in their half tons. That or a 4500 would probably be the easiest options.

If you're not putting down big power or romping on it too hard, I also think the 3500 would be a good option. Looks like the later dakotas might have got a "3500-HD" that had a slighlty higher torque rating. (340lb-ft vs 300 lb-ft)

I think your first two responses are best. Dak AX15 would probably live fine in a 2wd 1/2t but I wouldn’t trust it in a 4x4.

Got one out of a nitro can confirm will bolt on and a right hand drop 241 will as well but probably wouldn’t live long in a full size.

I'd be looking at the 3500, they should be pretty cheap with the non removable bell housing, it's a nap market to sell into, buy a spare in case you grenade it
