I have a metal building and I need to make a shitload of changes (recently purchased and it was a dance studio before I got it).

I have to move a mezz, a spiral staircase and the AC, then move the doors (The layout is total shit)

First, I have to relocate the main power panel, so I want to Spay foam behind the panel before I move it.

I am looking for a closed cell DIY Spray foam kit and at the moment only need to do about 75 sq ft to a 2" depth.

Any experience with DIY kits? Suggestions on vendors?

No experience... might want to check out garage journal for some feedback...

Most are pretty much the same, not sure where you are, but make sure its warm enough and if it doesn't look right, stop and send the seller a complaint. Had a bad batch on a new building at work, they had to dig out 10-15ish 10 foot sections 6" wide by 4" deep and re-foam them (all in an attic that was 5 feet or less tall with trusses every 2').

Subscribed. Considering insulating the inside of my trailer with sprayfoam.

They sell the 2 part spray foam @ home depot : https://www.homedepot.com/p/Touch-n...Component-Spray-Foam-Kit-4006022200/204962748

I dont have personal experience with the product but i know someone who used it for an outbuilding and it worked for what they needed. It took some tinkering to get it to spray right. I guess the big downside to it is if you dont get the 2 chemicals mixed correctly it wont cure. So you are blastic toxic shit into the wall, it never cures and will give off a bad odor until it is all dried out or cured, which if it is in a house behind drywall you have a big problem

Probably could, but I like the side benefits of sound absorption and vapor barrier in a single application.

I will probably insulate the entire thing in spray eventually.

2" foam board with sprayed seams and edges will save you time and money. It's still airtight and deadens sound.

I have used Foam it Green kits. MESSY, tyvek suite, gloves taped on, spray hood, and vaseline on all exposed areas, think eyebrows....

Put the tanks in a cooler of hot water. More heat, more pressure, more better. Swap tips if they start spraying funky.

IMO you wont get the quoted yield. If you just doing a small section they are fine, big area call your local spray foam guy. The kits add up quick.

I used a kit to do the wall behind my house mechanical stuff because I needed to rock it before I was ready for the spray foam guys. Real easy, get a few nozzles. If you stop for more than 30 seconds change nozzles. The two grill size tank kit did about 8'x12' area almost full 2x6 stud depth. Need to take a few passes to get it built up right.

who did you use to do the rest of your spray foam, I’m over in Middletown and need someone to do my new garage?

All county insulation/foam gods. They are just up 17 in Ferndale. Great job and price.
