SKULLYOTA has me motivated to build a DIY drive shaft jig for toyota shafts.

Looking for ideas on all type of driveshaft jigs. But thinking something like this ( Mr Stubs I think this was yours?) . Ive had this image saved forever form the old site:

Lets hear it.

ive always thought a 3jaw chuck from a lathe would be the cats meow for holding the tube square while you rotated and fit the yoke to weld in tube.
i seen one of our welders set one up for a receiver hitch

rattlewagon if you use a front and a rear together like I did, just remember that the associated bearings are different diameters so your standoffs will need to be different heights to make the center lines the same height. If you did front/front like stubs or rear/rear it would be way easier. All I had at the time was literally the back half of the case I just made into a doubler.

I believe what I did on that particular truck was take the cv from the front shaft and weld it to part of the rear two piece shaft to make a new front, then sent the remaining pieces to Davez to have a real one piece rear made.
