did Musk buy Ford?

Pretty sure that will never happen due to conflicts of interest and other obligations, but it'd be fun to see

Probably logically true but after Pelosi and Haley the term "conflict of interest" has no meaning and no credibility.

As far as the valuation of X, it's no skin off my nose, I didn't buy Twitter stock, and if X goes public I probably won't buy it either. It's just an observation that it's unlikely he'll buy Ford. He's publicly said that running a car company is much more work than his other enterprises.

There are metrics for valuations of private companies. Fidelity, Forbes, Axios, Bloomberg and I'm sure others agree it is worth a fraction of what he paid, regardless of what Brian says. Not only that but a good chunk of that $44b was loans that he's on the hook to pay back.
Twitter was never worth what they claimed. They should have been jailed for lying to investors using bots posing as an audience for advertisers to inflate the stock prices.
Elon proved it was worth less before buying it.
