I will find it amusing if Hillary Clinton dies before Carter.

Wow Bob Barker traversed the earthly bounds of this planet headed to he great beyond.

RIP Bob may you find good things ahead.

Hillary Clinton will be another crypt keeper like Diane Feinstein. 90 years old, barely coherent and voting on laws that govern you and me.

Jimmy Buffett age 76.

On September 2nd, 2023, Buffett's website announced his death. The site stated that he "passed away peacefully on the night of September 1st, surrounded by his family, friends, music and dogs." No cause of death was given. [68]

One of my favorites. I met him and had some beers with him and some friends December of '06-ish, just before he divorced the Dixie Chick. He played George's Majestic Lounge in Fayetteville, AR. Low attendance show, all of the undergrads had gone home for Christmas already. George's is right by campus, and Fayetteville was dead. I was in grad school at the time, I didn't get the full month of Dec off so I was still in town, and went with some buddies.

Charlie was drinking on stage all night, audience just kept bringing drinks. I don't know how he wasn't hammered. Finished his set and told the crowd he'd be at his merch table shortly to sign autographs. I bet we waited 20-30 minutes, most of us were ready to go and figured he was passed out on his bus. The guy that drove us there's girlfriend was determined to meet him, so we weren't leaving until she was ready to leave. By the time he finally came out to his merch table we were the only ones left in George's. We shared some drinks and BS'd for a good little bit. Dude could really hold his liquor.

Buddy's girlfriend got an autograph and he took pictures with us.

I remember my buddy's girlfriend asking Charlie if his wife, one of the Dixie Chicks (fiddle player I think?) was on the bus, and he replied, "no, but my girlfriend is, you want to meet her?" :lmao:

RIP Charlie, I hope you're Feelin' good again, no need to share the load.

Frank Borman - Dies at 95

View attachment 355838

As commander of Apollo 8 (a precursor to the lunar landing missions), his goal was to "Beat the Russians."
Frank was one of the first people to see the far side of the moon.
Also, perhaps, second or third astronaut to witness Earthrise during the pioneering, lunar-orbital flight.
