For those not in the know... its the bastard Dana 70 variant used in various 87-91 GM trucks and vans. Has the 31/32nd" pinion offset vs the standard 5/8".

Does anyone have one of these carriers to measure the deck height?

Digging thru the Dana/Spicer docs, I see there's 2 versions:
707056X for 3.73 and 4.10
706069X for 3.21 and 3.42

Its mostly the 3.73-4.10 version I'm interested in the measurement for.

I have a 80s 70HD from a pickup. I can check in a week or two if that works for you. I have no idea what carrier or gears though.

The -3 is goffy offset like d61's.

They might work but im not sure if the z3 is narrow like a hd or wide like a normal d70.

Seems -3HD came wide (drw) and standard (srw) - and no older than '87 according to Dana.

After some more research, seems like the target carrier should have approx 2-5/8" deck height.

Now to find one in somebody's junk pile, order a custom piloted spacer, or start with a proper diff in the first place :homer:
