So, I hadn't looked at PBB for a week or more, and was curious how dead it is (very).

Went to "new topics" & clicked a random thread, only to witness this goat rodeo:
  • "JackMurphy" who joined 15 months ago makes 1st post 17 days ago - meh, OK, plausible
  • "JackMurphy" is a dipshit who posted his ball joint grease question in "Vendor's Marketplace" :homer:
  • NOBODY bothered to unfuck the hapless noob vis-a-vis where to post said question :confused:
  • 17 days later, "Evans Davis" gives a nothingburger of a reply
    • ​​​​​​​(joined 2 days ago - spidey sense tingles a tad)
    • "Evans" appears to be a hired spamdrone attempting to further the conversation
That^ was routine-level pathetic (RIP PBB :frown: ) and not extraordinary . . .

Glad it's all working out. You know how these spinn offs can go lol. :beer: fellas

As far as the suspicious users, I'll share another interesting PBB observation of mine ... Per the old TOU it was ok to download for personal use, so I have a copy of the old site from about 2 weeks before the update. Looking at the members list, there is a clear pattern of a few new user registrations, every day and they never posted and never returned. 300k 'users' my ass.

Hey, I have all the Google "targeted advertising" max. turned off & that was a work computer.

So, as far as I know, that buttseks advertisement was targeted at the average new PBB user :laughing:
