Days old news for irate but in the past couple of days two major newspapers have refused to give any endorsement.

Refused to Endorse the Kandidate of the Party Apparatchik, and may never endorse a presidential candidate again. In general these newspapers have always endorsed Democratic candidates

Am I the only one seeing the hypocrisy as liberal heads are exploding all over social media. Outrage and fake outrage everywhere. Canceled subscriptions and many more cancelling subscriptions they never had.

Now I am all for freedom of press and speech. Don’t get me wrong. I hardly consider the current Washington Post a bastion of journalism and am sure there are many who would like to see the demise of Bezos paper effort. I just never figured the possible demise would come from liberals pissed off the paper is not propaganda enough for them.

Irony

Has the LA Times had an owner with any sense since Otis Chandler was in charge? He was a sensible businessman who appreciated a free press. The current media barons are the antithesis of men like Chandler. However the current owner (one of those bloody South African billionaires), sure looks like he made a business rather than free press decision with their NO endorsement. His healthcare companies will be a part of a Trump administration, and he advised the first Trump admin. This despite his family being pretty hard core left to the point the daughter looks like a mini western version of a Palestinian. Maybe Musk put a word in his ear, at one point they shared seats on some VC boards.

Dems once again lose their minds. The editor resigned, I admire her standing on HER principles, but the rest of the staff have realized they need their paychecks more than they need their own self important morals. Or beliefs. And how chickenshit is that. Liberal bitch reporter at WaPo who applauded the LATimes editor resigning was conspicuously silent yesterday when WaPo made a business decision rather than a free press decision

Bezos too realizing that his business interests are more important than subsidizing a liberal rag in a dying trade (no longer the way to influence folks as easy as say owning X) and voting with his wallet not his heart (or maybe he just never visited that island with the young girls or boys and lots of cameras)

And now the screaming hordes are (threatening to) cancelling their Prime accounts. :lmao::lmao:

post all forms of this as we know everyone is guilty

You're black so vote dem.

Im kidding, don't ban me!

I am kidding. Don’t ban me. :lmao:

While I was born in the black factory, I was a reject and turned out lite skinned. I am as black, but not quite as privileged as Mr Musk.

I am an official African American, have lived here longer than anywhere else now, and am beyond grateful for the opportunity and freedom this country have given me and my wife.

At no point did I ever consider the Democrats as a viable option. I don’t identify with any western political philosophy honestly. I typically vote against everything. I wish “none of the above” was a voting option :lmao:

I have more concern about how my morning shit was than what the politicals are doing.

Not like us poors can affect it in any way, shape, or form.

Wow. Throw in the towel. Are you going to vote this cycle ?

None of the races in AK are close or important. Got it. :shaking:

So you let the rich tell you your vote is nothing.

I've never tried voting.

The fact that some on here think their vote counts is another fantasy.

This in spite of rigged elections, stolen/missing ballots etc.

Like Carlin used to say, "its a big club and you ain't in it".

We are means to an end, until not needed. Then masses of people will have outlived their usefulness.

Yes I do vote/did vote.
Sad to say so neither candidate has a clue as to how to right this Titanic wreck.

I also wish none of the above was the choice when voting:usa:

Then you can't bitch when the .gov fucks you. It's a unwritten law or something. Gotta vote to bitch man, gotta vote to bitch.
QFT, Actually it would be nice to know who voted for what after the count is done, I think it would be mighty interesting how many would be bitching about getting exactly what they voted for. I am looking directly at the blue vote in this case.

As I said in the Kamala thread about WaPo, I don't think this is anything more than the rats fleeing the ship. I think it's a clear indicator they think Trump is going to win this election and they're trying to save what little face they have left before he gets in to office. On the surface, it looks like they're returning to unbiased news coverage. In reality they've absolutely destroyed their credibility and they're at best just doing what they have to to keep the doors open. If they thought Kamala had any chance they'd have gone right ahead and endorsed her.

A couple of my own
- I rely on the souls of old Dino 🦖 bodies for my business to continue to operate yet I find some electric cars really cool. Fuck.

- I am a climate change denier yet have lived in a solar zero carbon house that I designed and built since 1994.

More to come
I see no hypocrisy here but it brings up a VERY interesting observation. I think these are really good 2 examples of rhetoric being used to cause division.

That rhetoric being: these are your options, and you have to pick a side.

Take your car example, you can just "enjoy cars" without their energy source being relevant, but rhetoric has told us that gas cars generate greenhouse gas which causes climate change which is bad. Hybrids and all electric (aside from Tesla because Musk bad) are better. Pick a side.

This is bullshit because it removes critical thinking, makes the decision for you (in this example, belief in climate change is the decision). Now instead of the possibility of having a conversation on the topic, it's boiled down to picking a side and instantly viewing the other side as bad.

The same applies to your house. There's absolutely nothing wrong with wanting an efficient house.

I'm ready for the election to be over. According to Irate4x4.com, Trump can't win anyway because the Dems are to good at cheating.
Tired of the constant Nancy Kubota and Nick's BagItch ads.
Rather have Christmas ads and before Thanksgiving make me want to punch puppies.

Plenty to vote on other the the Presidency on the ballot here in Ca. Prop 36 which undoes much of Prop 47 being the most important.

If you don't vote, you let the lefties win. You give up like a bitch. Why not just move to Holland or some shit if you are going to stand in the corner and cry? You were beat. No, actually you folded. You surrendered, again, like a bitch.

I agree, but call me sentimental, I still do it. It’s like pouring some out for the homies that didn’t make it.

Boy howdy.
Since we've got ranked choice, John Wayne gets my #1...but it'll actually go to Begich.

I remember when Nick Begich was on Art Bell for 'Angels Don't Play This HAARP'.

I actually know John, he's got a machine shop near Fairbanks. Across from the Turtle's Club restaurant.

Would this be hypocrisy, stupidity, or suicide?

Global Warming. They was zero CO2 going into the atmosphere. They are even building plants that pull CO2 out of the atmosphere.

So, not only do they want no new CO2 added to the system, they want to remove what's already there.

Who else see's a big fucking problem with this? In order for these dumbfucks to get in between the normal cycling of the Earth, they're going to make it's hard to grow crops and feed folks.

remember when elon was pulling the curtain back exposing all the backend manipulation that was going on at twitter?
all the commies shrieked about that and fled to mastodon, then later on to 'blue sky'

was really funny watching it from the sidelines, since I don't use any of the "modern" instfacetock era of sites

people got such short attention spans that they've already forgotten about the printdemic
that thin coat of cheap paint hosed over gallons of bondo is all that's necessary

You whine that people have forgotten but then whine that they are needlessly voting. 2+2=5?

Sounds like you just want to whine and be negative about everything. You do you.

"Them" was a sci-fi movie from the 50's about radioactive ants that attack and eat humans. Your own words - "you should read up on it"

You slide off into the parallel universe a lot and don't realize it. :flipoff2:

It's black and white :lmao:
