Seems like they are not the same between years as my 1985 M1028 does not not have the proper crossmember to both mount the cab and the M1031 carrier bearing frame that drives the cog belt up to the generator in the bed.
The 1986 M1008 had (I scrapped it a few years ago) the crossmember that the M1031 mounts the carrier bearing frame on.
Upper right hand corner is the carrier bearing frame that bolts to the crossmember.
The the upside down cable shift PTO hence the reason for the NP205 to drive it.
