COVID positive- members only thread

It also turned you into a messican by the looks of your avatar... wow.

Half the stuff you guys are describing sounds like I had it, or might still.... I won't get tested. If I croak, I croak.

Yea I refused the test myself. I got a funny feeling that a positive won't exactly be just between me and my Doc. I think it may be a black cloud that won't go away.

Oh yea you busted me I am Mickey Gonzales, please don't ban this AE:flipoff2:

Had it in October. First signs were headaches, I never get them. Mild fever at 99.8 for 1 day. Next was body aches and chills for a day or 2 tops. Cough was there for a couple weeks. All 4 of us in the family got it, all about the same symptoms. Wife still doesn’t have all her smell and taste back yet. We walked 3 to 4 miles a day even if we didn’t feel like going. Coughed that shit out. There was days that we were super tired and just slept. I would have went to work if I didn’t know about Covid. I’ve felt worse from the flu before and still went to work. I have undying heath conditions and never felt like I was going to die.

I should have refused, but no, I listened to the wife. No benefit to getting tested, not like they give any meds for it unless you are in the hospital. Got a text from some random number something about notifying the county or something- that was before I even got the test results .

After my test came back the wife was calling her doctor asking if she should be tested . I’m like fuck no, why would you do that, have no symptoms and zero benefit to doing it.

I lost taste and smell early November. I had zero other symptoms other than the mildest sniffle I've ever had for half a day. I work alone and have zero interest in being a statistic so I did not get tested. I still do not have my full taste and smell back. Will never know and don't care if I had it or not.

Day before thanksgiving. I think taste and smell were unaffected. No headaches or fever, just sinus stuff, a small cough, and lung pain. The bad was trying to take a breath and anything over half inhale hurt like hell. Fatigued badly. Still am a bit. I have been struggling at the gym and sleeping more than I normally do. There were a couple of days in the middle where I tried to go out and do some thing and would run completely out of gas and go to sleep for four hours in the middle of the day

Fever started late afternoon of nov 20th. Aches started 21st. Fever and aches gone waking up the 22nd. Job required testing...Tested negative the 23rd but asked to quarantine anyway. Still had the "burning lungs" for a few days following and figure that went away about the 27/28th. Job required testing again...Tested positive on the 30th, feeling fine. Got lots of home back burner projects done that had I have stored materials up over time.
Hadn't left home besides testing for over 3 weeks. Wife and kids had zero symptoms throughout.

Now I generally feel fine but at times am short of breath after hiking few flights of stairs. Wasn't a problem before. Im back to work full time.

Was told some people test negative when close to the onset of symptoms and has taken some people week or so to test positive. Guess I was one of these people.

Had fever of 100 for 2 days congestion for about 5 days no aches no headache cough about 3 weeks . Everything tasted great I could smell everything. I could go running I could exercise I still think it is more like having bronchaitis which I seem to get every other year. Took 9 tests over 7 weeks wasnt till week 7 before I got a negative result. That was 6 weeks ago. Have to go test again because somone at work tested positive again. I was taking amoxacillin

Had it first of November. Wife and both adult sons had it. Youngest works at the hospital. He got it there and brought it to us while visiting. Head ache and felt like shit. Lost taste and smell. Still not fully back. Oldest ended up in the hospital for a stay. Low o2 and dehydrated. He was sick as hell for a couple of weeks. Wife had the nasty cough and chest pain. Hope you all stay well in 2021 and we get by this shit and can return to normal life.

During the first 10 days or so it was like a regular cold or allergies, but I was extremely tired and lost my taste and smell. There was a couple days where I was sleeping almost all day. No breathing issues till a few weeks after symptoms started. No chest pain or anything, but I’d run out of wind fast. I definitely had the covid “brain fog” also. I started getting symptoms November 10th, tested due to some of the facilities I access, and was positive. I’ve just started getting my smell and taste back in the last couple weeks. I’ve also just finally quit having the brain fog episodes and no longer feel like taking a nap every afternoon.

The wife and I both tested positive Wednesday, and we both have were sick for the week prior. She has had minimal issues, mainly just lost of taste and smell. I on the other hand have had some issues. I will go through periods of severe dyspnea, almost the point of going to the hospital, high fever (102+) severe fatigue, dizziness and the most aweful altered taste (things taste like pennies wrapped in wet cardboard) to the fever breaking and feeling fine for 5-6 hours. Been taking a regimen of zyrtec, famotadine and tylenol daily which helps

Mom just called to tell me my cousin died of covid this am. I guess he collapsed after not feeling well for a few days. He was a bit over weight, late 50s and drank like a fish. Guessing if they do an autopsy they'll find heart failure since it runs in that side of the family.

20 million confirmed cases... stateside.

that number does not correct for the false positives. This thread is interesting the different symptoms.

if you go by symptoms, it’s a high number but I don’t know if it’s that many.

Guys that are having congestion, is it upper (sinus ears etc) or lower (chest) respiratory? I was under the impression that this virus really causes no sinus drainage. Any chest pressure?

Yes, congestion up high in my sinuses and my ears. And some respiratory congestion but like you said, zero drainage or any mucus complications whatsoever. Weird. No chest pressure really, just shortened breath.

Mine felt like a upper respiratory infection, then gradually turned to a dry cough that felt like it lasted forever

ME: Started out as a head cold and generally felt yuk. Lots of sinus drainage. No headaches but I had body aches like a bad flu. No intestinal issues. I waffled between super bad chills to the sweats but NEVER had a fever. 3 times I couldn't get warm no matter what and had to sit in a hot bath for 30 minutes. Tired beyond belief. I normally go to bet at 10 and up around 5. I had days where I went to bed at 8 and got up the following morning at 7. Up for a couple hours and then another nap for an hour - all day long. Lots of hacky cough but nothing to cough up. I felt short of breath but never got chest congestion. However, when it got tight I did a nebulizer treatment - probably 5 times. Elapsed time of being sick - about 10 days. That was a month ago and I am just now getting back to my normal schedule.
On a scale of 1 - 10, probably 5-6

My WIFE: Tired but not like me. Never got in her lungs. Some sinus congestion but had bad headaches. She was not as bad as me. Maybe a 3.

We both lost taste and smell.

This is how it was for me. The shortness of breath was strange, no real feeling of congestion, no chest pressure, no pain, I just ran out of air fast.

:shudder:

Couldja expand on that..? Eyeball itself?

~ was it conjunctivitis or "sand" discharge (rheum) from naso eye flutes?

pain behind my eye balls and dry eye. Like a headache but focused all pain directly behind the eyes. A number of us in town had that symptom. A few of the people I spoke with consider it the worse pain in their lives. It was #1 or #2 for me as far as life time pain, it was rough.

Mine was mostly like this, but with a tiny bit of drainage. But, it was in the fall... I have allergies in the fall... so I don't know how much of what symptom was covid or my yearly reaction to dying leaves. Pretty sure I had both going at the same time.

Upper lungs hurt on inhale, coughing lots but totally dry although it felt like I had something in there to get rid of, kinda like a burning sensation and winded with little effort like I'd just run a race.

I had same feelings. I told coworkers that it felt like I was back in college and holding bong hits but with every breath.

I had to get tested again for work. Someone else turned positive. I did a rapid test I am negative.
I already said if we go through this shit again they can kiss my ass just because the office manager loves shit shoved in her brain doesn't mean the rest of us do.
