This is where we can post and read and evaluate studies that support or do not support the notion that asymptomatic spread represents an even slightest impact of spreading this virus.

...because before you as a healthy person accept a prison sentence to lockdown, you would think a person of average intelligence would expect a burden of proof on par with a court case that would sentence them to the same.

You don't say? So why the hell is everyone claiming it's such a sure fire thing?
Before you go making hard core rules that apply strongly to every person in the country, don't you think we should have results that prove the notion beyond a reasonable doubt?

For all I know I may be one of those asymptomatic spreaders... just rollin around, like a tumbleweed. Spreadin my seed...

I haven't been tested, nor will I be. Probably already had it. WHO doesn't know... fawk em'

I was tested for the anti bodies while I was at the hospital for other tests and it came back negative

I MIGHT tend to believe a report done by and without zero interest zero paid accredited personnel.

Because there are so few studies actually done on this subject, I have no choice but to bring you the arguments from the other side, and then use their words and uncertainty against them.
I think it would be pretty damn easy to do a controlled study. Get 1 true asymptomatic case. Shove 50 negative tested people into the room with that person and have them hang out and have fun for a night. Then have those 50 quarantined all alone and test them each day for 14 days and post the results.

Or, they could just finally tell us the truth whether or not those 2 hair dressers boyfriends tested positive or negative. But they won't tell us that. You only hear about those hair dressers on all the sites that try to convince that masks work.

At this point how can you trust any testing? Of any kind related to covid 19?

I have a very close friend that walked away from testing because of the wait... got positive result a week later. In right wing east Texas. Not fb friend, not someone I follow on Twitter, but a real life friend.

"You have the antibodies"

"Oh okay well I guess there's a 50/50 chance I have the antibodies. Thanks for not really telling me a goddam thing."

Between this and the mask thread, it's clear that everything they have been feeding us was bullshit.
Most of us had a guy instinct early on. As time goes by, that guy feeling is replaced with evidence.
More time will show more evidence.

I can't wait for a good documentary on the bullshit to come out in a year or two that highlights and proves all the nonsense for what it was/is.

Beware surfaces. It lives on surfaces for 3 days and could get you sick. = turned out to be BS.
Death certificates, Covid death. = BS.
Everything = BS.

Too many to list.

Just came across this little piece of bullshit:
117392860_201819454667009_3987494385238104768_o.jpg?_nc_cat=1&_nc_sid=110474&_nc_ohc=kZxhRMpO1OIAX_go15p&_nc_ht=scontent-sjc3-1.xx&_nc_tp=7&oh=bccd0baea88087ed168c05a463cc7cd0&oe=5F5F1EE4.jpg

Caption reads: "This portrait is made with the pictures of all the doctors and nurses who passed away in this pandemic."

Bullshit. It's the same faces repeated over and over and over. I think there are only 8-10 different faces used in total.

No more bullshit, just stop. From now on, everything related to this that you hear, you must instantly assume it's bullshit until it's PROVEN to you to your satisfaction. Never again will you accept anything said by any of the people in charge at face value.

This is good for advice for ANYTHING that any elected offical says, public entity decrees, or news source "reports".

How about the people that lie about knowing people who have contracted coronavirus and ended up in the hospital or dead. My MIL is one of those people. Bought into all the fear mongering and will tell everyone else how they're wrong and has lied to our faces about knowing multiple people she knows being sick.

Its all lies. And the worst part is the mass shear stupidity of everyone listening to the babbling heads on tv. Because if the news person on the squakbox tells them something it must be real, right?

Just to be clear--it is real. Please don't assume that since everything about it is drastically exaggerated means it's not real. Doing that lets people paint with broad strokes, and assume that anyone that's against shutting down the world is some sort of denier.

I know it's real because I had it. I think, all told, it was the sickest I've ever been. As in, I had a fever for 14 days (could be controlled with tylenol, but as soon as I would get off the tylenol, there it was again). I still don't know if my lungs are all the way back to normal. I never went to the hospital, but I was pretty close to my wife insisting I go--I struggled to breathe, had crazy amounts of phlegm, all that.

All that being said, our current state is one of complete over-reaction. I've known about 10 people now that tested positive, including my wife and I (not the antibody tests, but the nasal swabs twirled around on your freaking brain stem tests). I'm the only one I know that really got sick. What can I say--I'm overweight, and a fairly severe asthmatic.

Anyway, maybe I misread your post. I just want to make sure there's room for some nuance and gray area in the discussion. It shouldn't be a binary discussion of "it's gonna kill us" or "it's fake", but that's what the media tries to make it. Instead, like with everything, the truth is somewhere in between the two unrelatable positions they try to push.

It's not fake. It is real(it's a "new" flu/cold, SARS-CoV-2).And you have a tiny tiny chance of dying from it if you are old, have medical issues, etc, etc(like you did from all the others every other year).
But for most everyone, it's no big deal(just like every other year). It spares kids more than the regular stuff, so that's a good thing.

I didn't say it was fake. But its all been exaggeration and lies fed to the the public for some kind of agenda. It was portrayed as this highly contagious ultra deadly virus. It isnt. The infected and death rates has to be faked and inflated to make the supposed experts seem correct, otherwise they'll be discredited in the future.

I am fed up with the discourse it has caused within the general public because of how it affects me and my job. Everything has become more difficult to do on a daily basis. Dealing with the shippers and recievers has become more difficult. Getting food out on the road when I can't just walk into somewhere and order something has become gd nightmare. I didnt have the option to to hide at home like a little bitch. So I continued to work and dealt with the bullshit, but Im about fed up.
