Yup. Chinos, button down shirt, fancy orange safety vest, shiny spotless white hardhat, camera and a metal clipboard box and you can go just about anywhere on a jobsite unimpeded. People will be moving away from you as quickly as possible. Ive seen subs clear off of a jobsite because of a dude like that. Of course Ive also seen that happen when a couple of guys walk onto a jobsite with ICE written across the back of their jackets.

I use the one given to me...i never upgraded to the non newbie one (from yellow to white for my company) because people leave me alone. I mechanic i dont know what the fuck they are doing...digging a hole? sure
As for safety, they leave me alone. i do my job as safely as possible and the unsafe shit cant be made safe. only thing ive ever heard anything about has been hi-vis. I dont have it on when im using a torch or welding because its polyester hell
