We get a bit of a vortex effect at our front door that deposits leaves in decent amount. I ignored it for a few weeks. The leaves stained the concrete.

4K psi pressure washer did nothing. Simple green did nothing. Dawn and scrubbing did nada.

I have some concrete cleaner and muriatic acid, but I’m a bit nervous that will either a) make it equally as splotchy as the stain b) force me to do all 4k sq ft to get some uniformity.

Other than doing burnouts to draw the eye from the stain, any other ideas?

Lower part of this pic is still at from the attempted cleaning

If you have some already, try oxyclean in a garden sprayer. Wet concrete down, spray it on and let it sit. Worked really well on my deck and siding.

will try that.... thx.

Yeah, you want to dilute that stuff down so you don’t end up having to do the whole driveway.
I know they make a couple different products like that for concrete.
maybe you could try vinegar first?

I’ve cleaned my garage floor a couple of times with that stuff and you definitely want to have good ventilation.

I'm pretty confident this is the answer. I just don't like it. :flipoff2:
It'll etch the top layer and change the finish though, so be prepared to do the whole gd driveway. :flipoff2:

I've had decent luck with driveway cleaners or Totally Awesome. Soak it, brush it, and leave it to soak in. Then rinse.

That being said, this will be neverending, so either seal it (and have a nice slip-n-slide unless you add sand - that will get stained), or embrace it and eventually the whole driveway will match. :flipoff2:

man, I could walk right past that and worry about something that is more important

its a driveway, it is dirty, it is ok :grinpimp:

Diluted acid in a garden watering can. Rinse - repeat as needed.

Not sure if it'll work on leaf stains, but a pretty low impact idea would be Oil Eater. It's an enzyme, so it doesn't clean fast.

I've used it with success on oil stains, and then when I wanted to clean up the concrete dog run, it worked even better there.

I have had great results removing oil stains with oven cleaner followed by a Dawn dish soap.

First I wet the concrete.
Spray the surface with either cleaner.
Agitate it using a push broom.
Let it sit for 10min or so.
Rinse it off.

Repeat as needed.
