CO2 tanks thread adapter

I have a CO2 cylinder that has the same male threads on it. I need a coupler to connect them, but can't seem to find the right one. The thread I think is CGA320. DOes that sound right? Any ideas how to hook these together?

What are you trying to do? Mig weld with co2? The welding store has the adapter to go from co2 to argon style. Don't forget the little cookie that comes with it. Try to be a little more vague.

The adapter I have is for refilling sodastream canisters. The tank and adapter have the same male threads. I need some type of coupler to conenct them.

Needs to be CGA320 on both ends.

These 79215A653 and 79215A654 from McMaster Carr will let you change the fitting on your adapter if the thread is 1/4 NPT.

with a 1/8 nipple or hose.

so your trying to fill one co2 tank from another? with hard line fittings?


your going to want to buy a fill station.

While a fill station is the right way to do it, I fill CO2 tanks with a similar setup. Without dump valves to chill the bottle it never gets 100% full so you don't need a scale. More frequent fill ups usually aren't a problem for what I'm doing.
