Not too bad condition for a rack grade.
Stock is solid
Very light pitting on reciver
No barrel throat or muzzle readings.
Son is going to measure it.
Barrel date is 1944
Going to order a barrel from sarcos just so I have a new one on it.

but why on the new barrel? why swap it out before you shoot it?

Nice rifle
i hope it gives you lots of fun.
The armorer’s manual gives a good explanation for re-barreling. It’s not plug and play.

50 yards
Not great
Little sloppy
Couple doubles one each other
Going to re-barrel it.
Was holding it Center x

It took me 3 years to find an NOS barrel that matches the barrel in my M1.

NM barrels are getting scarce. I’m thousands of rounds from needing to replace this barrel, but I won’t have to find one when the time comes.

Son says, throat looks bad.
Will find out once measured.
Want make sure it's safe.
Barrels are 165.00
I didn’t have to measure mine (bought from a guy going through a divorce and needed lawyer money) I found out how bad my barrel was by running a brush down it and once it got past the muzzle, there was no resistance til the chamber end. No resistance like in I don’t think the brush wires were even touching all the way around.

Never shot it and just bought and had a new barrel installed on it. I looked at a good used one but gave that up as I’m not that concerned about everything matching on it. I love shooting them and that was always my end goal with it anyway. Mine is an early WWII ser number.
