Nothing to see here. The prior employee will foot the blame. Looks like they needed an Environmental and Health member.

The SDS listings are here Log In
Just click search and it brings them all up. Im popping popcorn to read the process safety "stepford Wives" preach about this and that over the next few weeks.

Well that and waiting for the actual chemical name to be released. Water Reactive and Electrical could mean that Sulfuric Acid and the wrong container or a spill occurred. All sorts of badness burning right now

Local article says it's a pool and spa chemical plant. A sprinkler head leaked and reacted with a chemical that started the fire. I guess it was put out and re ignited. 17000 people evacuated

The red and pink smoke are especially high on my FUCK NO list. It burning that many colors and mixing together in the air is not good. That "steam" you see in some shots makes me think HF gas.

That smoke had some interesting colors. Evacuate and run away is probably the plan.

Wife sent me this headed west from Athens.

This isn't the first time that plant has had issues, and by issues I mean gigantic fireballs shooting out of it, I owned a house in Lithonia for a while and my friends/tenants told me that place has gone up a few times.

This plant burns down every five years or so.

You’d think the lawsuits from last time would have been expensive enough tjay it wouldn’t happen again

Inspector says we need sprinklers in every room. "But this explodes if it gets wet"? CoDe sAYs eveRy rOom!!!
Should make the jurisdiction, that mandated it, the insurer, the NFPA, etc, etc. pay part of the settlement costs.

I'm sure the company that owns or runs the plant will get stuck with 100% though. :shaking:

In the history of codes and code enforcement, has ANYONE who mandates their codes EVER been held responsible?

I'm guessing no
