the question i got about wheeling the black hills trails is there a spot to camp and drive buggies and hit trails with out putting them on a trailer?

Yeah sorta. Are you okay running some pavement? There are a few camp grounds that are a short blacktop travel distance. There are others that are right off gravel roads but still have a few miles of road to get to the trails.

Highways are 2 laners with speed limits of min of 40mph (iirc).

Not local to the area, but have wheeled there three times in the last few years, lastly in June 2020. Fun area and we'll be back again.. If this group is only for locals, let me know and I'll delete my posts. I've joined/posted so that the updates in these threads will hopefully hit my feed.
