Cheap 5.29s

Summit just refunded me for the toy knuckle kit. Says nitro discontinued the item. So its finally over for me. Received 5.29 gear set and solid spacer. 4.88s and knuckle kit canceled. Good luck guys

Just checked my email and received the same info.... bummer. Still waiting on what's going on with my gears.

Update on my order: "Expected to Ship From Manufacturer Dec 14, 2023"

So summit is being a pita, I've talked with 3 different people in the last week and they say that they will get tracking info from manufacturer. I keep telling them that it was drop shipped to the wrong address and I want my parts.... they say they will have a answer in 48 hours. I don't wanna cry to much to where the refund my money, I want 70 dollar ring and pinions.

If it makes you feel better, both of my sets of 5.29’s from them setup like shit no matter how much I worked at it. Split pattern is unfortunate on a front diff here.

That's Gheyer than aids about the setup... I'm still working with summit trying to get what I paid for. They did cancel some of my stuff.

I can't believe you guys are still waiting on stuff! I saw the JD BF sale and kinda stayed away. I was able to grab some D60 5.38s Motives through ECGS cheaper anyway.

So were these things Nitro branded?

When you guys start using these, let us know how they setup. I see Snowy said his didnt set up well. I dont want to invest a bunch of $$$ in a diff and use gears that wont setup right.

When I build one, I'll post the shim stack used. Right now surprisingly all my toy r&p are happy.

Arrived.

Horrible packaging… two boxes of gears and a piece of packing paper in a box 2x too big.

I guess worth what I paid, but definitely would give them more $$.

Edit: I haven’t purchased gear sets in probably 20 years… maybe longer. But I distinctly remember them arriving in molded styrofoam… and then inside a box. Not just loose like this…
