I posted this on a couple of other forums to try and get as many opinions and input as possible so here it goes here. Nephew was asking my opinion and I had to admit that even though it is a good ideal I had never really looked into it. So I thought I'd ask the biggest bunch of degenerates I know. Anybody carry it? Thoughts? Opinions? Snide remarks? US Law Shield and CCW Safe are popping up quite often in conversations. I plan on speaking with my lawyer about it before any money is spent just to hear his opinion.

Thoughts: insurance is a massive scam.

No I don't carry it, no I don't plan to use it, no I won't be overly pissed in the exceedingly rare event it would pay out

I pretty much agree overall. Sad fact of life is there is some that is just flat out needed, even if it is a scam. Then again, I think sometimes having insurance just feeds the shark frenzy. May not get much out of me but me+insurance equals payday!

Disagree about flat needed, guess financed things it's tough to get away from.

I don't see what ccw insurance could possibly net a benefit. It's as silly as life insurance or health insurance for somebody under 60. Or car insurance for a vehicle over 10 years old.

"But what if your house burns down?!" Yeah, life sucks, move on. For what they charge for the shit and the conditions they put on things, insurance can get fucked. Ever wonder why they need to get in bed with the government and force people via violence to comply? Clearly just because it's such a great product :rasta:

I'd rather pay dues as a Mason:flipoff2: but I don't, because mandatory insurance premiums cost way more....

I agree that CCW insurance isn’t likely to be useful, particularly in a gun/self defense friendly state. You’d be better off to save that money somewhere and have it available for legal fees of any type, or some other emergency.

I disagree with you on life insurance for younger people, you have it backwards. Life insurance is to replace lost wages, not because you’re more likely to die. I have a $500k policy and am 33, I pay $25/month on it. If I die in a car wreck, freak gasoline fight accident, etc, my wife can pay off the house, supplement her income, and invests a portion for the future (kid’s college, etc). By the time you retire you should be “self insured” meaning you have enough assets to cover things that may come up.

It’s ridiculous how many ”go fund me’s” are out there because someone young died that didn’t ensure their family would at least have a buffer.

Sure, but also "life sucks". My wife knows she'll have to go to work if I die. Helps keep her from cutting my brake lines

Uscca is another to look at.
I have thought about getting it, but after considering it I don't think it is necessary here in Wyoming.
Also what's to keep them from saying it wasn't self defense and not doing anything for you?

What the hell kind of wannabes do you hang out with that carry insurance pops up quite often? Do run around with 14 year old boys and also discuss whether superman or captain marvel would win in a fight?

Well, the person who asked me about it is an extremely smart 23yo. Sorry that me being smart enough to ask others opinions as well as researching before a decision bothers you. BTW, CPT Marvel would STOMP Supe in a fight! FACT! Thanks for your insightful and well thought out input!

FIFY

And I totally agree.

My enlightenment on your point came when the auto ins. industry switched from charging more when drivers drove small vehicles and charged less for drivers driving larger vehicles in the '70s (and before), to charging the opposite in the '80s onward.

Studies showed smaller vehicles were not as safe as larger vehicles.

When the '80s came along pinko-lib activists started crying that bigger vehicles were killing people than smaller vehicles.

By the early '90s the auto ins industry caved and switched their policies, with their current argument/point being larger vehicles kill more people than smaller vehicles do EVEN THOUGH THAT HAS ALWAYS BEEN THE CASE!

The laws of physics will not be denied; EVAR!!1!:homer::shaking:

My evidence for me calling it a cave is the simple fact that, as far as I know, ins companies still charge more for riskier policies across their entire insurance-policy spectrum.

As they reasonably/logically should.

The same wannabes that post threads regarding 'will 35in tires fit with no lift?

The same wannabes that posted a thread about 'hot trannys'.

The same wannabes that posted a thread asking 'should we have a safe-space?'.

The same wannabes that argue which color dress they should wear when driving their Jeep/Toyota/New Bronco...(I made that up:flipoff2:)

Just sayin':flipoff2::laughing:

Reread my statement. You made it sound like lots of people are bringing this up repeatedly in everyday conversation. Not just one "extremely smart" 23 year old. If hes that smart he should be able to do the cost/benefit analysis of whether its worth it or not instead of asking someone else who doesnt know that then asks a bunch of other people who dont know for their worthless opinion.

How about asking the question like this. Has anyone here been involved in a shooting outside of your home? Did you have CCW insurance? Did it actually help with anything?

FWIW most insurances like this are bordering on scam territory. The scope of what they cover is so ridiculously small theyre worthless. Generally if youre involved in a shooting and its determined to be a righteous shoot you do t have anything to worry about. Some states dont protect you from civil suits in those cases but if you read closely the insurance doesnt protect you anyway.

I said it seemed like it was popping up the most in conversations, I should have clarified for those who can't figure out that those would've been the conversations related to the subject and not inserted off topic. Since I did state that I had been asking around I thought that part would have been easy to figure out.

So you since you evidently don't have much experience with smart people let me help you out. Smart people contact those who they know in the industry closest to the subject and ask their input, hence asking the "Gun Guy" about CCW Insurance.

I couldn't care less if you've been involved in a shooting because the question wasn't about shootings, it was about insurance.

I have studied the policies of several companies while assembling my info and it is plain to see you have not. Thank you for contributing jack squat to the conversation!

BTW, take an English class! Or at least learn to use contractions and punctuation correctly!

Listen fuckstain, youre trying too hard to seem smart but youre too fucking stupid too figure out that the only people that ccw insurance benefits are those selling it. So you and Super smart douchebag go and buy the ccw insurance. Im sure the broker selling it will confirm how smart you are.

If youve actually studied the policies then you should be able to do a simple cost benefit analysis since youre so super smart and make the decision without asking people on the internet. Asking a "gun guy" who has never had to use the insurance to see if it paid out and what it helped with doesnt accomplish anything but you go ahead and keep asking people who have never used a product they purchased how it works. Arent you a super awesome gun guy with a name like "6gun"? Fucking retard.

Can you show us on the doll where the smart person touched you? Thanks again for all of your brilliant insight! It has REALLY been helpful!

Ashke? That you buddy? Glad you’re still alive!

Finally bought a gun, eh? From your screen name guessing you picked up a “nice” Taurus revolver?

Gdamn, that went dark quickly....

I always kinda thought PewPew would have been beaten to death in the parking lot of a biker bar after backing into a row of bikes with his misfiring, overheating and slipping clutch Travelall.

Just to clarify for that fucking retard 6gun, ccw insurance is a waste of money.
