I don't know but... maybe because pallbearers are typically all right handed so they'd walk the coffin w/ the left side being the front and we all want to go head first into heaven?

I have only seen the head on the left, but got curious after seeing the finished picture, so I googled it and a bunch of old religious reasons were given. Something about the head being in the west so it faces east. And there is also a reason the feet go first into the hearse. I always thought the head would go first

Went good… casket was delivered last Monday…. Director said this happens more and more… also said this was probably the best he’s seen so far!!!
